Quite the list. Looks like they left off the half time orange peeler.
Would love to see this list vs the staff that Stanton, Fulton and Hasler had who managed to win premierships.
 
I was mistakenly thinking Murphy might have been brought in to tighten up our defence.

Looking at the above list, you would think his role is more like an assistant in Ressies.

It is a bit surprising given his experience if that is the case. Unless he has always worked in development roles. But surely he has been in this game too long at the top level for that.

Picture of Tevaga and Sipley really worry me.

Taukeiaho added to profiles on the website,makes 27 out of 30 now,quickly gone from train and trial to NRL it seems.
Noticed Waddell in the pictures above but still no word from the club..... ..

Meanwhile, Peter Gentle, who joined Manly in 2023 as a Recruitment Manager, has been promoted to the role of Head of Football and Recruitment. Surely this is taking the absolute piss?

No way Waddell won't get a contract, as long as his sister stays with Jake.

Probably a minority opinion but I quite like the recruitment & retention moves over the last couple of years. I can see the point in waving goodbye to the Fainus, Schu and Humphreys, despite their various talents. Ditto Lodge. See ya! Resigning Schu was a bad one, but credit to the club at least for acting decisively to end it.

Signing Large, Walsh & Zaidas Muagututia, having Lehi, Koula and Navale on long deals, these are all good moves.

I know you're not a fan of Tevaga and Taukeaho but based on our other recent recruits I'm quite optimistic both will do well. Waddell too is a strong and experienced squad player. The squad looks stronger again this year, despite no marquee signing.

There's plenty of evidence that team stability is a factor in a side's improvement, it's not all just down to luring a new star player. No-one lures more stars than the Chooks but I'll be surprised if Manly doesn't outperform them this year (and the bookies agree)
