Club News 2022

No , I'm criticising the age of not taking responsibilty for you're own actions and woke virtue signalling.

Are you a nature over nurture man?

Because Gen Y’s and Millenials were raised by Boomers but they also have the genes of Boomers.

If the current generation are ****ed, then your generation have to share some of the blame.

Yeah we do because they won't take responsibility for their own actions.

Anyone see Taupau repost a video on his Insta of him not being passed the ball the other night. Went for around 30 seconds and he was visibly pissed off each time it didn't go to him. Mind you most of the plays were backline shifts where it wouldn't make sense to give it to the front rower, especially when they cough up possession as easily as he does.

With 2 games left I truly hope we have seen the last of him in a Manly jersey, but no doubt he'll be back starting again next week whilst players who are actually with us next year are either riding the pine or left out.

It only frees up coin if they go without Manly having to chip in their existing contracts and the 7 players have multiple year contracts still to run.Other clubs will be obviously interested but they’ll know Manly’s situation and won’t want them unless Manly foot some of the bill
sorry why would Manly pay anything to anyone if the player wants to leave and go else where ?
Its iether you go of your own free will to another club and they pay you and we dont , or you stay and play as per contract and get paid by Manly .How else could it work ?

I'm quite confused. Does anyone actually know which players are leaving or want to leave? Someone said there's 3 players and then another person said 4 players. And are all these players who want out apart of the 7 that didn't play the other week?

Manly can still play a role in bringing down the Donkeys and/or Doesn'tmatta.
If we play to standard and allow the Faders to put a big score on us then they will enter the final round either on the same points as the Donkeys (should they lose to Doesn'tmatta) or just two points adrift of Doesn'tmatta.
Doesn'tmatta plays Melbourne in the last round, whist the Faders play the Tugers.
It will come down to for-and-against. The Faders have a big differential to catch up, but our boys are just the ones who will give them a helping hand.
Won't our last game against the Dogs be a battle of the giants?

Hi Aidos mate if you can be bothered reading from pages 70 you will work it out ,but who knows I really find it difficult that there would be soo much turmoil over one freaking jersey and that all of a sudden there is a mass exodus over what is essentially a management stuff up .
Anyways I'll summarise for you,, depending on what you want to believe 3 maybe 4 of the stand down 7 want out ,again depending on what you believe its not Sch nor Josh A ,doubtful Saab and doubtful Koula .That leaves one big gun in question and as has been posted by others I really find it difficult to believe that given the support we have given his mate Manase and the fact we gave him a start ,and the oblivious depth of feeling and support that Des gave him and the others that Ola would want out .
Personally I think these grubs like that old pisshead Rothtool trawl thru these pages and make this shyte up.
Anyways Go Manly -winners don't quit and quitters don't win !

Gee thats something to look forward to, isn't it!! 🙂🙂🙂

Bit hard to “release” players when they have contracts, especially when most of them still multiple years left. Many clubs would be willing to take them but they know Manly are the ones on the back foot in this situation so they’d expect Manly to pay most of the freight. So that would leave not only a minimum million Manly would be out of pocket in the cap,but they then have to find suitable replacements to fill the void and as evidenced by the Dolphins lack of quality signings, there’s not much out there
Surely if they're agitating to leave then their contracts can be deregistered, it's not the club asking to end the deal, if they want to play for another outfit let them negotiate new contracts, no reason we should be paying any freight imo

Yeah I probably didn’t make myself very clear with my comment.I was more directing what I thought at those who suggest the club should just get rid of them, not those that are requesting a release. Not sure how it would work in that situation, especially if the club they go to aren’t prepared to match what their current contract is worth

I was going to post this in the Post Game thread but this may/may not relate to recent posts here...

After the game on Saturday, there was a tribute to Foz, Walker, Taupau, Davey & Taufua, announcing they're leaving and showing video highlights of their Manly careers. Then Marty & family, Foz & family and DCE came the whole way around Brookie. (Walker only went half way.)

Since the Bob Fulton Stand opened, very few players come to the southern end (the exception being DCE). In the past, the custom's been if Manly win, at least some of the players do a lap of Brookie, or some of it, wave and clap to the fans and vice versa.

This may mean nothing but what I thought was intriguing was, even though Manly lost the game, Haumole and Sipley came around, including down to the south end, waving and clapping to the Manly fans. Make of that what you will!

I think the divide thing is bull****.

There’d be some boys that weren’t happy at the time but they would have moved on by now .

The media are such arseholes.

Yeah not convinced just yet. Personally I would be furious if I was in the team... it's honestly like the biggest dog act you could do to your team mates. Leaving your brothers in arms at such a critical moment really speaks volumes about loyalty and commitment. You have to remember that yes they're professionals, but we're talking personal relationships and family mentality. Surely it would have cut quite deep

Look I’m sure they’re pissed BUT, a divide , I seriously doubt it.

They will have moved on.

Just a pity we , and the media , haven’t.
