Don't think so, Haumole has admitted in interviews he wasn't fit enough.
There are some who think just play the kids in 1sts and they will adapt and improve. Des doesn't think that and fwiw I agree with him!

Six agains and limited interchange plays in the favour of the younger players imo. Back when there was unlimited interchange and pre six agains it would have been a nightmare for a young player. 4 fresh forwards on the bench with unlimited rotation doesnt suit the younger players. Look at the Raiders, they are fresh and young. Ricky has for the most part played a youthful team set up and now the rules favour his approach.

Yep it’s better to hold them back as late as possible, give them every chance to find another club that will give them an opportunity, and continue playing older players who can’t get the job done just because they have experience. Not sure referencing Des’ methods and ideas is something we should be doing in 2025
Well, we did try and keep Jazz.
He knocked us back, and chose the UK.
Seibs has been dragged into picking Navale kicking and screaming . It's ridiculous he wasn't playing earlier, especially with our injury issues.

Been calling for it for the last 3 years...he should have been in for Aaron Woods.
Not saying Navale is worse than Aaron Woods in any way, but saying he should've been playing NRL in the place of Woods in 2023, when Navale hadn't even played NSW Cup at that point, is a massive stretch.
I must be in the minority as I am just not getting the same vibe as many posters with Navale. I think he has been playing ok but still unconvinced he is a 150+ games first grader. I watched the Dragons game and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. In fact as some posters have said in another thread Waddell outplayed him convincingly.
He's just starting his career, I think you'll notice him next year.
