Weather forecast for the match is for scattered showers at this stage ,so maybe not a totally dry track but should not present any major problems for Manly . Thought that Lane would have some reasonable claim for a bench spot after his apparent strong trial form . The expectation that A P I can play the full eighty seems interesting and quite hopeful that Croker can manage O K . Matt Wright and Kelly in the centres , well, did not seem to be seriously outplayed by the Roosters pair and hopefully will be the the case also against the Knights . Manly still look the stronger side overall on paper , so also hopefully this will translate on the footy field on Friday night .

I'd say our backline just nudges ahead of theirs. Forwards are a different story... Getting goosebumps just thinking about what our forwards could achieve this year.

Manly 26 - Newcastle 8. Lachlan Croker to be solid without being spectacular and Siro to get MoM for causing absolute mayhem on that right edge for us. Mata'utia will be having nightmares after Friday.

Not even sure he is an upgrade on Croker till we see him how he plays.
I must have missed Lambs better games - went ok, but not convinced he is that good....unless Manly get him and I instantly add 25% to his ability!!
