Yeah I noticed that too. I’ve been checking the play by play announcements on the nswrl website and it seems like he’s been coming on for rugless at around the 30 or 40min mark and playing the rest of the game at hooker which is interesting. Definitely not where he belongs but I guess there’s not much you can do when Humphreys has to play in the halves with wakeham gone and now Arthur out too.

I am just guessing....I wonder if at that mark they move Jamie to dummy half,put Matterson in the halves and just get Navale to tackle in the middle?
I haven't seen the games,but would be tough to expect him to pass at dummy half,maybe poor Jamie had to play dummy half/half when Arthur went off.

Yeah I thought they might’ve been doing the same. But I watched some of the highlights and navale scored a try out of dummy half close to the line and I’ve seen a few others photos of him passing out of dummy half so I believe he’s actually playing hooker which is strange.

It only makes Navale an even better prospect if he can do a job at hooker. I'd still like to see him play on an edge.

Wonder if he is playing as the fourth middle and getting bugger all time(he is listed as a prop now on his profile),they seem to have 4 running forwards on the bench regularly with Matterson and Parker able to play in the backs.
I think Hayley was listed as a reserve earlier this year and did not play,maybe he drops back to Flegg when the top guys who miss out drop back,think he is named in Flegg side too.

Didn't he come back from a 12 month injury (maybe ACL)? Could be a case of easing him in. I know he had some raps and at one point signed a 3 year deal with the raiders before reneging.

Hayley has looked promising in Flegg and must be considered as part of the next crop coming through. Also interesting to see Bunting named in ressies. May well drop back to Flegg if DCE plays and Humphreys drops back however Bunting looks a likely candidate.
