Blacktown Workers ... 2023 ..

People rave on about the amount of tackling Croker does (which is admirable), but the other hookers on other teams do just about the same amount of tackling. It's like the Croker fan club doing some kind of magic card trick to make you think the tackling he does is so special or exceptional that he doesn't need any other attribute to be a hooker.
Valid point. Though I guess the concern is that bringing in Gordie or whatever potential solution, may not live up to that defensive workload? But, we won’t know if we don’t try and see where the options sit.

Stats seem to suggest your comment has some basis. Most hookers are good defenders with high efficiency ratings. Croker is one of the better ones in that regard. Damien Cook is the exceptional one at 44 tackles per game and 95% efficiency. Croker is 35.5 tackles per game at 92.1 efficiency. But there are many lower than Croker, and some higher. Means Croker is doing his job in defense. Hard to compare defensively with Gordon Chan given he's in the Reggies. But his tackle rate isn't quite as high as Croker and slightly less in efficiency. But not worth making an issue of it. I guess it comes down to who is the most effective in getting the ball moving efficiency to the attacking players.

Shame there is no coverage, could have seen how Alec Tuitavake is going. Listed as lock for the Dragons.
