Should Hastings be given a go as a starting half in the NRL side?

The frog passed the HIA test from his first head knock and I haven't seen definitive proof he was taken off the second time for HIA reasons. I'm not saying it wasn't, just that we are not SURE.

I can't find anything about an NRL RULE that forbids the frog playing this week so it probably comes down to our medical management.
You would imagine he would not have been allowed to be named in the team if the rules forbade his playing, but then again, the NRL do a a pretty sh*t job of every aspect of the game.

When the 21 man squad was named .... I took the absence of another utility on the bench to indicate that Croker would play.

I would have thought if he was a chance of being out ... and Hastings in .... then Joey Lussick or Brown would have been on stand-by ...

ITs a modern day conundrum with TB
A quote from TB when we signed him ..

Barrett has enjoyed a long association with the Hastings family, starting when they were neighbours in Wollongong.

“I’ve known Jackson his whole life pretty much and he’s an exceptional player,’’ Barrett added.

“We’ve watched him since he was a kid and he’s always been a standout coming through the juniors.”

He may just rate him but TB stubbornness with his selections will persist with Croker I believe

Bellyache has made the call and moved his rookie half to reserves. Given him a list of a couple of things he needs to work on. Told him he will be back. Has had a great pre-season. Is part of the top squad. But a coach he has to act in the best interest of the team. And also going back to reserves and working hard and improving in certain areas is the best thing for a young player as well. He always expected a young half to not last a full season in the NRL.

There could be a few tips there Baz.

Need a hint about Jacko - like one of those blind items the gossips used to run. Come on! I so can't figure it.

If what I'm hearing is correct, hastings has made his own bed. Won't be playing for us again surely
It certainly does look that way. There are some strange goings on happening which could definitely undermine the culture of our great club.

So...this Hastings boy, what has he done, does he do, why is he so on the outer? He used to be a hotshot chicken where Uncle Nick takes care of everything. They passed him on. Second club now and not going well....I'm intrigued.

Its becoming obvious that Barrett is a good coach but not a good selector. Someone else should be doing the selecting.
Gosh, who would be a good selector? If only there was a previous Manly Immortal with extensive selection experience... think, think....
