Can't be - this was 15 minutes agoHe is not at training then at Narrabeen?
Completely the wrong way then we get the gronks Mr Fluffy & JOeKElly come out & mouth platitudes about Ballin.I think the time is right for Matt to move on, but the way it was handled was wrong.
Two days in and the only post is the shafting of a Fan fave, whose last act was to re-sign to help the Manly FranchiseWell done on the press release. A big improvement on the vacuum of communication/negativity which we have become accustomed to receiving with these changes.
Hopefully this is a sign of a lift in communication standards.
This article just typifies what an awesome bloke Matt Ballin is.More class from Matty - a true gentleman of League

Matt Ballin called Robbie Farah to clear the air before his Wests Tigers deal was announced

WHILE the rest of the country were busy dialling in bets on the Melbourne Cup, Matt Ballin felt it more important to phone someone other than his favourite bookie.
Indicating that perhaps the Cup may not be the race that stops the nation, Ballin missed Tuesday’s drama in order to make the awkward, but icebreaking, call to the man he could potentially replace as the Wests Tigers hooker next year, Robbie Farah.
Ballin has revealed how his own shock and disappointment of being shown the door after 11 years at the Sea Eagles led to him calling Farah before the Tigers announced that he had agreed to a two-year deal from 2016 on Tuesday afternoon.
“I would’ve liked to have talked to him (Farah) a lot earlier, but it just wasn’t possible,’’ Ballin said. “So I called him before the Tigers announced (on Tuesday). We had a really good chat.
“I just thought he deserved the respect from me to call him and, I guess, let him say what he needed to say to me and so then we could talk about the situation.
“It didn't make it any easier for him, but I’ve been through the same thing over here (Manly) and I just said, ‘I know how you feel’.
“He was really good and he said he knew it was nothing personal or my fault, it’s just the way footy is these days. He said that he only has respect for me as well, so I thought it was a really good conversation. I needed to have it.
“He’s a State of Origin hooker and a very skilful, knowledgeable player and a leader of the Tigers so I plan to learn off him and work with him in whatever capacity that is. I think we can do some good things together.’’

THE DECISION
Ballin arrived at Brookvale in 2004, recruited as a 20-year-old from the Broncos. He won titles in 2008 and 2011 and has played 217 first-grade games.
And when the 31-year-old inked a new deal with Manly until 2017 in April this year, his dream of finishing his career at the club was complete.
Or so he thought.
“At the start of this year I signed a two-year contract extension and at the time I thought it was the best thing ever,’’ he said.
“Even though the goal was to play for Manly and they’ve been good to me, it just wasn’t to be. Now I’m moving to the Tigers which I’m really excited about, they’re a young and up-and-coming team with a lot of potential.
“It’s become quite an emotional experience, just saying goodbye to people involved with the club ... it’s hard. I really enjoyed my time at the club, but it wasn’t just possible to stay there so I had to look elsewhere.’’
THE COACHES
Prior to severing ties with Manly, Ballin spoke a final time to rookie Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett.
Ballin wanted to make certain the whispers of him being unwanted were true. He then spoke to Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor. The conversations were vastly different.
“I had heard from a lot of different people that I wasn’t wanted so I just wanted to hear from him (Barrett),’’ Ballin said.
“He was very genuine and honest and told me the club was moving in a different direction and gave me the reasons why. We both listened to each other so there’s definitely no bad blood there.
“I then spoke to Jason Taylor and it was like chalk and cheese. It was a ‘no’ from one coach and a ‘yes’ from another. He (Taylor) went into detail and was really impressive in defining what he thought I could offer the club.
“That really impressed me when I put him on the spot to ask, ‘Why do you want me?’ Without hesitation he rattled off a few skills and strengths he thought I could help the team with.’’
Ballin’s recovery from knee surgery is progressing on schedule. He plans to start running in the next fortnight with the desire to be fit for the Tigers’ opening match of the season.
“It could take a bit longer, but I’m really hoping to be back for round one,’’ he said.
I wonder if all the players have an "intranet" where they can look up each others phone extensions, like at work.More class from Matty - a true gentleman of League
