@BOZO I may not agree with everything you put on here mate......but ummmm....keep up the good work @

I think a few clubs will be in trouble when the back ended contracts kick in. In my opinion, Manly are trying to deliver a longer term plan, so they do get caught up in these payments, especially given the scrutiny we get from the salary cap auditors. Des Hasler was a master of back loading player payments, others are doing the same I think.

Hence why the Dogs were rumoured to be wanting to offload some of their high priced talent. Des took his back ended contract ways to Belmore and they are suffering through the same pains Manly did.

Could it be DCE's 8 year $1 million plus contract that is making it hard for Manly to sign anyone of note? Or Manly struggling to get 3rd party agreements? In any case it is disappointing that other teams seem to be attracting players but Manly is struggling.

Cronk will definitely be on at least a million a year Rodo. Some clubs that arent being attacked for spurious illegal practices can get all the TPAs they want.

Just reported in the telegraph that Moylan will be seeking a release tomorrow from the Panthers. Manly and Sharks favourite.
In the same article they say if Pearce leaves Manly is in front of 3 other suiters. Has a meeting with Robinson tomorrow
This is getting out of control and is just looking stupid now.
If we do end up with either of be happy but frack me it's starting to get old
imagine if we got both. we would be premiership favourites

That sounds like DSM5. He got up to 9,999 posts and then disappeared, never to be seen again on Silvertails (unless he is still here posting under a different nom-de-plume).
maybe another silvertail knocked him off before he could make the milestone. #conspiracy

Keary's name getting thrown around now.

Interesting to see him and cherry working together...
Zorba did state very clearly that the dominos were all lined up and waiting for Cronk to make his decision. Love him or hate him, he’s in the thick of the game, more so than anyone on here. So Cronk signed yesterday and it’s starting to heat up. Signings were always going to happen, just not quickly enough to stop the children stomping their feet and throwing their toys out of the cot. But seriously... the farkin season has only just finished, how people cannot grasp that fact is really mystifying. Any decent administration will hold their cards close, play the waiting game in pursuit of the best possible outcome.

Especially considering the RLPA hasn't even committed to a cap figure yet.
Once they do that, clubs will know where they stand and how much money they need to offload.

Also read that Gorman, Holmes and Baz all met for the first time last Tuesday. I'd say they'd have a plan moving forward.

I understand that pre season training is starting now though so the sooner we can sign new players the sooner combinations can be formed...
Whose Holmes

On a side note, I’m sure I read that @globaleagle was reaching for a bottle of liquor on a Monday (can’t find the threand not just any bottle but Makers Mark mind you.) talk about a charmed lifestyle.

doubly charmed, one could say!

The only comment I heard Barrett make about Tom for next year was that he might start with a run in the centre, nothing about seeing him only as a centre. But if you've heard different do you have a link?
I DEFINATELY read the Barrett article that says he is looking at Tom as a FUTURE CENTRE .
If I find the articles I will post them to you

This is one of the two articles I read about Barrett looking at Tom as a centre

the uncertainty around Moylan’s future and his relationship with Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett has heightened talk that some big moves could be afoot.
While signing the younger Moylan may put Wright’s No.6 aspirations on the backburner for the time being, foxsports.com.au understands that the young gun has been told by Barrett that he is in the club’s immediate plans as a centre.

In the interview with Baz and that tool Arthur before the U/20's GF, Baz said that he really doesn't see Tom Wright as a future 5/8, he see's him as a centre three quarter. In a way its kinda like Dylan Walker, a pivot in the juniors but has found his home as a centre in the NRL.

I remember seeing that interview as well .
