Wouldn’t really be much different to Green, if he can stay injury-free. Not fast or much of a runner, but good passing, organising, strong kicking game...used to have very good defence for a half, too. And a goal kicker, which we badly need. Still...Hastings still seems to offer the same if not more, except experience.

ok Pearce was a great option and for reasons more than “Newcastle is my dream destination “ he has been pulled that direction.
Now it’s time to get on with life and pick a 5/8 with ability and proud to be part of Manly.
My choice in order
1) Hastings
2) Croker
3) Cullen
4) Metcalfe
Wright is an option, but really a freakish runner of the ball suited to centre, where he will likely trial.
Not huge on any other available halves but maybe the club has a plan up its sleeve?
Time to move forward so who are the best options for 2018 from here?

How the tide has turned, Manly/We/Us, have again been used as a bargaining tool, emphasis on tool, Yet again. It is what it is

bloody well hope we dont chase lamb... as ivd said in an earlier post, my mates involved in the pickers set up where lamb came thru and no one rates him an nrl level half... nice kid, but all were shocked when knights called him up.. surely we play hastings, if not, one of the few jnrs we already have... better than lamb

No sure he complements DCE. But there is a bit to like about the way he plays. For the right price, he is handy in the squad.

Can't crack first grade in the team that comes last every year.........
He was a handy player in his day but that was a long time ago.
Also, he runs like he's on a treadmill.

YAFK. May as well bring back Matt Orford.

Pass. I know he is young, but he wasn't NRL ready in 2017. We have better in Hastings.
Pick the best of them. But I want a good forward as well - preferably Joel Thompson, if he is not totally jack of us.

So you're saying no because he played well behind a good pack ?
He played much better in the WC than at club level because he was pumped playing for Tonga .... he is another hot & cold player imho

Be surprised if the Knights let him go, they are supposedly under the cap so may just keep him for depth!!
