I had a major fallout with that Robert Simeon character on Facebook , he claims all sorts of insider knowledge so back in the day I asked around to be told “ Robert who???”.

I then fronted him on his Facebook page and his action was just to boot me.

I called him FOS.....full of ****

Annoyed the crap out of me that he named his page Manly Sea Eagles , made it look like the official page and has about 25,000 members who think he’s a godlike character.

Guys an idoit and thinks he has all this inside knowledge. He doesn't like constructive criticism regarding anything Manly. I was part of his group and he decided to remove me due to my criticism on Barrett at the time. Anyways started my own group on FB and currently have close to 800 members.

So, anyone still prepared to believe the Fake News being spread by Facebook about Turbo being out for the season?
Fellow posters, please take it from an old journo like me that most of the stories these days contain very little truth. The way the media cycle works is that it is all about a media being first to report something and not about the accuracy of that report. There is no time to check facts, so once a 'story' is reported other media just copy it and embellish it.
There are so few well-trained journalists and sub-editors these days that media simply rely on Forums like this and guesswork.
Currently we have two prime examples: rugby paying a 16-year old $1-M a season. Common sense must surely tell you this is fantasy.
Secondly, that a number of NRL clubs are chasing Money-Bill to play a handful of matches this season.
If Donald Trump has got one thing correct it is that Fake News is everywhere. He should know as it's all he spreads. I still recall a Channel Seven report that Manly had signed Mitchell Pearce!
So, my suggestion is that once a 'big' story breaks give it a few days before you make up your mind about its veracity.

That's surprising considering doing that in the group effectively means death by guillotine... or so he wishes

Sit him out.. its an asterix season anyway.. no one in their right mind will consider the 2020 premiers legit champions with the total turmoil the season has gone through .
Sit him out, give him a chance to get 150% healthy for a real crack at next season..
And if he breaks down YET AGAIN next year, we will have to look long and hard at a legit fullback to replace him. (As in, someone to play wing/centre when turbo is fit, but isn't a complete passenger when filling in at 1.. like a Gutho, or Morris etc)
