Reserves: Toff Sipley, Corey Waddell, Atasi James, Ben Trbojevic, Jake Arthur, Brad Parker, Tommy Talau, Christian Tuipulotu, Karl Lawton, Dean Matterson

Not quite there's: Ben Condon, Zac Fulton

That's 30 players - which also shows every player has had first grade experience / potential.
Good looking team like Garrick in the centres and Paulo is a first grader. Tuipolotu should be depth, this is a solid squad.

Only problem I foresee and I won't be Robinson Crusoe, the club will have addressed it, is Shuster will need to regain confidence in defence at second row or he will be a mark, and Garrick was woeful defensively against the Bronx. Trials Rueben needs to get some footy there because he is a footballer and an athlete and is just wasted at wing where players with that ratio tilted more towards athlete than footballer get the better of him.

It's like a treble fader on a hi fi system. Starts at footballer and slides to athlete, we all know where Brad Parker is on the spectrum? Now Jason Saab?

At centre I think a higher footballer ratio pays a higher dividend for your team.

Note: Koula and Turbo are both off the charts in athlete and footballer ratios,

'honey, are you sure those mushrooms we had for breaky came from the fridge and weren't the ones Dave said he left here Friday night'

That’s the team I think can make a deep push into finals.

Some analysis from Fox Sports on our roster, is missing Toff Sipley from the prop rotation;

SEA EAGLES

Halves:
Daly Cherry-Evans, Luke Brooks, Jake Arthur, Jamie Humphreys (also hooker)

Hooker: Lachlan Croker, Gordon Chan Kum Tong

Fullback: Tom Trbojevic

Wing: Reuben Garrick (also fullback), Jason Saab, Christian Tuipulotu, Clayton Faulalo, Jaxson Paulo, Ray Vaega

Centre: Brad Parker, Tolutau Koula (also fullback), Tommy Talau

Prop: Taniela Paseka, Matt Lodge, Ben Condon (also second row)

Second row: Haumole Olakau’atu, Josh Schuster (also halves), Ben Trbojevic, Corey Waddell (also prop), Ethan Bullemor, Karl Lawton (also hooker)

Lock: Jake Trbojevic (also prop), Josh Aloiai (also prop), Zac Fulton

Spots left in Top 30: 1

Supplementary players: Aitasi James (prop), Bailey Hodgson (fullback), Dean Matterson (lock/second row/halves), Lehi Hopoate (fullback)

Reserves report: Manly’s New South Wales Cup feeder side, Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, made the finals last season for the first time since joining the competition in 2017. But the team has lost several key players ahead of 2024 including fullback Jake Toby, who led the team in try assists and linebreak assists last season. They’ve recruited a couple of forwards for the part-time squad though including former Bear Ben Seufale, while Brad Abbey has re-signed for 2024

Verdict: Manageable. Josh Schuster’s move back to the second row has Manly sitting pretty in edge forwards. But it’s not so stacked for the middles. Either Josh Aloiai or Jake Trbojevic will start at prop in Round 1 along with Taniela Paseka but beyond them there’s only a couple of versatile forwards in Corey Waddell and Ben Condon that can provide back-up in the early rounds. Matt Lodge will miss the opening month of the season due to the knee injury he suffered in August but even when he returns the team could still do with another addition to the engine room. Veteran prop Aaron Woods is still at the club but can’t play until Round 11 given he’s on a train-and-trial contract. Nathan Brown is also on a train-and-trial contract and so are props Austin Dias and Jacob Sykes, who played for Blacktown last season. Jake Arthur is on deck for when Daly Cherry-Evans heads into Origin camp, Gordon Chan Kum Tong can cover for Lachlan Croker and Tommy Talau’s arrival has created serious competition in the outside backs. While Tom Trbojevic is the only specialist fullback in the Top 30, Reuben Garrick and Tolu Koula have proven they are more than capable of filling in if needed. But moving either of them means more disruption to the backline

Wing: Reuben Garrick (also fullback), Jason Saab, Christian Tuipulotu, Clayton Faulalo, Jaxson Paulo, Ray Vaega

Second row: Haumole Olakau’atu, Josh Schuster (also halves), Ben Trbojevic, Corey Waddell (also prop), Ethan Bullemor, Karl Lawton (also hooker)
Given they miss Sipley completely, which is ridiculous to begin with, given he's one of our prime props, that they name Garrick as a winger (when he will clearly be a centre) and they still name Karl Lawton, this article is quite low-effort and probably shouldn't be taken seriously.

Yep 2 spots to fill possibly 3 if the Lawman goes to Super League.

Guess Brown will take on of them with James/Matterson/Woods fighting it out for the other two

The very slow and underwhelming Woods once again is fighting for a Manly spot
Not much of a fight in our pack if the incapable Woods is able to fight his way in

Can any one Imagine the fear in all NRL clubs hearing Woods is fighting for a Manly spot ?
FMD !

Did read that Manly wanted Lawton to stay, since then nothing 100% confirmed on Lawton. Hope he stays, when fit and injury free he gives us a lot more options.

If we had an above-average 13 (that wasn't Jake) id be pretty confident of a good season.

But we don't have one (and no Schuster is not the answer)

Hope to be proven wrong, but any side with Burbo as a starting 2nd rower is in a bit of trouble.
I was hoping 23 was to be a bit of a breakout year, fingers crossed for 24

He's our Shaq Mitchell, signed because..well we know why.
