Dragons hooker Andrew McCullough has announced his retirement from rugby league, effective immediately, making the decision to retire with one year remaining on his deal to transition into his post-playing career and move home to Queensland.

Braydon Wiliame has inked a two-year deal with the Warriors, which will see the versatile centre-back-rower join the club ahead of the start of the 2023 season.

Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui has inked a long-term deal with the Gold Coast, set to join his older brother and Titans captain Tino, while the Titans have also signed young forward Josiah Pahulu, who captained Ipswich State High School to their first Queensland and National Schoolboys titles this year.

RAIDERS IN TALKS WITH TITANS $1.25M STAR

The Canberra Raiders are set to make a play to lure Gold Coast Titans star David Fifita to the nation’s capital.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported the Raiders have started negotiations with Fifita’s management in a bid to sign the former Queensland Origin star for 2024 and beyond.

The 22-year-old is entering the final year of his record $1.25 million a season three-year deal with the Titans in 2023, but has been free to negotiate with rivals since November 1.

According to the Herald, Raiders coach Ricky Stuart met with Fifita’s management last week and while an offer is yet to be finalised, Canberra view the back-rower as a player to build their pack around.

Not sure if this has been previously mentioned or confirmed but Cooper Johns on train & trial until the new salary cap is sorted. He will then move into top 30. I don’t have a problem with this depth signing given humphries etc are really untried. No star but a handy fill in.

Rumour in today’s paper of a big name player in talks with a rival Sydney club. Monster story. I reckon Teddy back to Tigpies. Manu is equally as good at fullback and then there is sualli.
