Light rumours & the possibility that Valentine Holmes could be signed by the North Queensland Cowboys in 2019 have emerged. Obviously unhappy with his shift back to the wing, Holmes could potentially feature at fullback for the Cowboys with Lachlan Coote coming off contract. Holmes & Michael Morgan also date sister's so the incentive of 'family' is also there.

Souths and Storm looking at Oates

Broncos winger Corey Oates wants to play in the back row. Wayne Bennett says that if that’s where he chooses to play, he’ll have to go back to reserve grade when everyone’s available. Oates is off-contract at season’s end. We’re sure you can see where this is going.

According to 7Sport, both the Rabbitohs and Storm have expressed interest in recruiting Oates – to play in the second row.

The opportunity to play as a second rower is critical here for two reasons.

Firstly, because at this point, it’s well established that that’s the position he’d prefer to play.

And secondly, because second-rowers are worth more money than wingers.

It’s rumoured that Oates may get an opportunity to play second row this week as a result of the suspension of Jaydn Su’a, so maybe he can change Bennett’s mind.

Oates has played 97 first grade games for the Broncos, and 4 Origins for Queensland.

Parra apparently making an offer to Ryan Sutton from Wigan for mid season transfer. Comes from the mole........ So grain of salt .

I watched him play on TV and very impressive in the Super League

Sea Eagles interested in Jacks

March 21, 2018, 1:36 pm By Joel

Having already had some success with one former Storm half in Blake Green, you couldn’t blame the Sea Eagles for going back to the well another time.

They may do exactly that, with Nathan Ryan reporting on Fox Sports that the Sea Eagles are “exploring” the possibility of signing back-up Storm half Ryley Jacks for 2019.

Jacks is reportedly looking for a starting gig somewhere with his next deal, and with 3-game veteran Lachlan Croker currently donning the 6 at Manly, the Sea Eagles would seem a good fit.

Of course, by the end of the year, Croker may have become a household name. Regardless though, Jacks is likely to have to move on in order to get a long-term starting opportunity, as he’s currently stuck behind young stars Cameron Munster and Brodie Croft in Melbourne.

Jacks has played 13 first grade games for the Storm.

The rumours of Dylan Napa being unhappy currently at the Sydney Roosters are continuing with the Brisbane Broncos reportedly joining the Newcastle Knights in the race to sign him.

Bulldogs rumoured to be making a play for Sezer

March 23, 2018, 11:05 am By Joel

In dropping Matt Frawley after just two outings, Bulldogs coach Dean Pay made it clear that he’s not happy with the output of his halves. But if he gets his way, there could be help on the horizon.

According to The Mole on WWOS, the Bulldogs are hoping to sign Raiders half Aidan Sezer – and would like to do so as soon as possible.

According to the report, Pay met with Sezer this week, and is hopeful that Sezer might obtain a release within the next few weeks.

Any possible move would obviously require the Raiders to be willing to release Sezer; though with the recent addition of former Warriors half Ata Hingano, they arguably do have sufficient depth, and it could free up valuable cap space.

Pay is linked to Sezer via Canberra, where he served as an assistant to Ricky Stuart in recent years.

This wouldn’t be the first instance of a new coach pursuing players he’s already familiar with either, with Titans coach Garth Brennan actively recruiting players from his former club, the Panthers.

Sezer has played 121 first grade games for the Raiders and Titans.
