2017 State of Origin Game 2

Anyone else feel that picking a couple of fullbacks in the centre's position may have been a big error ? Lol lol lol.
Especially when specialist centres csnt get a gig....

what a joke so sick of the crap nrl stitch up
waste of time, run off the ball forward passes and strips, not to mention queensland cover the ten faster than usain bolt, Ceccin more like Cheatin

If only someone had knocked out Schnitzel Piss at the start of the second half we might have stood a chance…
Also, Fifita was largely ineffective. Ran sideways most of the night.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but gee there were some dodgy calls going Qld's way after they were dominated. I guess it's just coincidental that the calls favoured the team being dominated up to that point and kept the richest series in the game alive for another game.
Thurston's forward pass off the ground was the nail in the coffin for me. It's a distugsting corrupt event.

Will the refs get dropped for all their missed errors? Never seen such crap. Not such a spectacle when those "in charge" can't even get basic calls wrong.

How come Daley didn't hook Hayne when Tedesco came back? Probably should have been earlier. Who was the forward who gave away 3 penalties for stripping, sack him too, that reminiscent of Lewis Brown

The game has all become about penalties and when you get them. Like the 2013 GF (last Manly penalty in the 11th minute), NSW couldn't buy a penalty at crucial times. Contrast the no penalty for Boyd tackling Dugan in his efforts to get to the bomb, compared to the softest of penalties given to Qld for Maloney's tap on Slater. WTF. That said, enough opportunities to win the game twice over if not for some dumb / crap play from hayne and graham and no where near convinced that Pearce can close a game unless everything goes his way. Actually, he may have closed game 1 by being taken off the field.

I blame Hayne pathetic defensive reads and stupid penalties he also should of passed to an open Morris but chose to be a hero as usual and failed. it was a sure thing but... Walker or Roberts are better centers aren't they? lol

Twice the Blues were illegally tackled running in for a bomb. Then Gagai drops the ball and the Ref gives them a strip penalty :banghead:

Couldn't agree more.

You have to fight through that mate.

We clearly stopped playing upbeat attacking footy with 20 to go.

We changed the game plan to stupid block plays and dumb kicks.

When you do that you put pressure on yourself. Then we started making mistakes.

I'd drop Hayne for that performance. But It won't happen. Giving away penaltys. Bombing try's and inept defence.

in 2013 gf we only got 2 penalties.. against the most penalized side in the comp that year by a long way. It is was and always will be for me the greatest rort and day the nrl became a world wide sporting joke

Was interesting watching On the Couch last night, with Corey Parker saying that stopping Fifita wouldn't be a problem. Called it 100%, saying that Fifita would catch the ball with his first movement being across field. Blocker took the p*ss out of him, showing how little idea he has of the modern game.

These channel nein commentators are bending over backwards to avoid mentioning the refs. Not a word about that tackle off the ball by Boyd.
