Brent Read just mentioned on triple m that Benji Marshall has been offered to Manly but he understands they were interested as it is understood they already have a 5/8th lined up. The assumption is it being Blake Green who we had been mentioned as chasing.

Which coach is eyeing a return to his former club?

He’s not off contract with his current club but we all know a contract doesn’t count for much these days.

Certain people in power at his former club are eager to bring him back but there’s resistance from others and their current coach still has time left to run on his deal. This could get very messy!

Could this be a Des return

David Mead was just on 7 news Qld about being forced out if the tits with the Hayne signing, he stated he is in talks with Manly, South's but his word "particularly the bulldogs"

Green means stop for Foran at Manly
By Tony Adams
August 6, 2016
MANLY have signed much-improved Storm five-eighth Blake Green for next season – which could spell dire consequences for Kieran Foran’s proposed move back to Brookvale.
Green agreed to terms with Manly over a month ago, but significantly, the two parties didn’t put pen to paper until the last few days.

The Sea Eagles were holding off in the hope they could get Foran to return.

But with Green coming on good money, Manly are unlikely to be able to afford Foran.

Having three halves – Daly Cherry-Evans, Foran and Green – on good dollars would hammer the club’s salary cap balance.

It now appears certain that Foran, who walked out on Parramatta after less that a year in sensational circumstances last month, is destined to join the Bulldogs.

The troubled halfback is extremely close to Canterbury coach Des Hasler, who brought him to grade at Manly and oversaw his NRL debut.

Ivan Cleary set to coach the Dragons in season 2017 with Paul Mcgregor set to be shifted to assistant coach.

Paul McGregor's has told the Dragons he wants this to happen next year.

You heard it here first. Bill (Herman) Hamilton has had a fallout with the Manly board, has packed his bags and crossed the Spit Bridge and joined the Bears. More scoops later.

An article in Daily Telegraph (looks written by Zorba ) says that 17 year old Anson Naati (prop)who played for the eels last year and is 125kgs will be playing for the U20's this weekend, not a major signing but was supposedly scouted by Bozo. Also says that a surprise selection will be playing for sea eagles this weekend, goes on to say how good the club is and how there are no more leaks blah,blah,blah..... not sure if it means Meehan might be playing in the firsts this weekend or if they have someone signed....
