Very big rumour going around the traps that Toovey has been sacked and Nathan Brown is the new coach. According to the source it will be announced on Monday.
I hope its just one of those rumours that come from fairy land because if true, goodbye Manly. Reason: Toovey is too well informed and challenges the Board.
I am calling bull**** on that rumour.

This would make some kind of sense, Tooves body language on Saturday was almost indifferent. Normally when we're playing **** and losing nobody's more fired up than Tooves, maybe he had already been tapped on the shoulder

Toovey did not look his usual self, it's heartbreaking to see the great man in this situation. I agree with some, he looked disheartened and beaten.
I sincerely hope they don't remove him from the club, and he's offered some kind of role (if he wants it). Surely us fans can do something in his recognition at our next home game if this be the case.

That rumour was.always going to happen after a loss to the raiders. If true wow the penns and Kelly just continue to fail.

I have been hearing the same rumor for a couple of weeks. Even if we beat Canberra I heard he wouldn't make the year out.

The rumour has been going around for a few weeks that Toovey would leave if we lost to the Raiders.

It will give the club a chance to show Foran that Brown is a good coach and try and convince him to stay

What a load of crap

Elegy to tour the Manly facilities in the coming fortnight. Our offer has apparently trumped the titans. According to the courier mail we have offered an attractive contract with views of Elgey being the starting halfback.

I think he will sign with us. Let's hope he turns out to be a star. I would make a massive play for Klemmer. He and Jake T are the best young props in the game.

According to zero tackle, Klemmer is under contract, this year and next, on 330Kpa.

Agree, we should make a big play for him to sign with us for 2017 where he will still be 23 years of age and blooded into first grade.

Dogs will play plenty to keep him, so we can only dream about getting him with a huge TPA.

My apologies guys about the rumour I recorded yesterday suggesting Toovey was about to be replaced by Nathan Brown. Thankfully someone was in fairy tale land, which I hoped was the case.

As for Klemmer I would play the game other teams have been doing to Manly. Offer the World. If you get him good, if you dont you've ensured that Canterbury's salary cap is seriously dented. Time to play smart and nasty.

Warriors set to sign Sydney Roosters fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
The Warriors are set to swoop on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck with the Roosters fullback on the verge of signing a deal upwards of $800,000 per season deal to join the New Zealand club from next year.
The contract offer is almost double that of the Roosters, who have offered about $400,000 a year to keep the Kiwi international at the club. The move is almost certain to signal the end of Sam Tomkins' two-year stint at the Warriors with the Englishman set to return to the Super League next year because of his homesick partner.
It comes as a cruel blow to the Roosters who have groomed Tuivasa-Sheck to be the club's long-term fullback following the retirement of Anthony Minichiello at the end of last year. The injured Blake Ferguson shapes as a potential No.1 for the Roosters beyond this year.
The Warriors have struggled to attract big-name players to the club after missing out on luring the likes of Kieran Foran, Trent Merrin and Jason Taumalolo to the club for next season.
Tuivasa-Sheck has been in scintillating form for the Roosters this year. He become just the 13thplayer in the NRL to run for more than 300 metres in a game during the Roosters' last-start loss to the Sharks.
The fleet-footed 21-year-old finished with 300 metres from his 28 runs which included two line breaks, six tackle breaks and a long-range try.
His younger brother Johnny - who is also an outside back - is part of the Roosters' under-20s team and played in the club's premiership-winning under-18 SG Ball side last year.
The Roosters will now turn their attention to signing Ferguson on a long-term contract while they also have representative outside backs Daniel Tupou and Shaun Kenny-Dowall off-contract at the end of this season. The Roosters have secured forwards Dylan Napa and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to long-term contracts. Five-eighth James Maloney is also off-contract at season's end. Tuivasa-Sheck has played seven Tests for the Kiwis since making his NRL debut in 2012.
Tuivasa-Sheck said he had taken time to adjust to the full-time fullback position.
"Usually when I was on the wing I'd be running between six to seven kilometres a game," Tuivasa-Sheck told Fairfax Media in March.
"I had to lose a bit more weight to run around. Last year I was playing at 95kg to 97kg. This year I'm back down to 92kg or 93kg to try and cover the field m

and cue the rumours - snake or tom turbo to the chooks,(over to you phil)

They have Latrell Mitchell who is the best junior star coming through and a fullback. Roosters went after big time most team's best kids a few years ago ala Charlie Taylor from us and Hastings from Dragons with huge deals.
