Sounds like Penrith, Cowboys or the Bulldogs are keeping their options open if they miss out on Thurston and Tomkins will have a definite 'gig' here next year.

A good player but not the skills of the top 6 or 7 half backs in the comp here already.

I'm surprised Riccardi wasn't snapped up by someone and is now pl;ying his trade at Brisbane Easts although, I'm a bit confused as to whether they're a feeder club for the Tigers or Storm. If the Storm, he may get a run during SOO.

Brisbane Easts are a feeder club for the Storm the mascot is the Tiger.
Heres the connection from memory with the Balmain Tigers -Years ago Brisbane Easts tried to get into the NRL by merging with Balmain and the Gold Coast (this was the chargers so had a bit of coin) the Broncos waved the non competition clause at them and then from there it went south.
