No doubt to cover the loss of Burgess for half the season, and Man Mountain Taylor to Gold Coast. Gee that guy Burgess has been unlucky with injury. Mind you nothing comparable with Campese or Watson in cricket for that matter. Mind you Farrar has had a pretty rotten time of it also

I'm surprised Riccardi wasn't snapped up by someone and is now pl;ying his trade at Brisbane Easts although, I'm a bit confused as to whether they're a feeder club for the Tigers or Storm. If the Storm, he may get a run during SOO.

Heres the connection from memory with the Balmain Tigers -Years ago Brisbane Easts tried to get into the NRL by merging with Balmain and the Gold Coast (this was the chargers so had a bit of coin) the Broncos waved the non competition clause at them and then from there it went south.
