Isaac Gordon is a speedy outside back, but has pretty poor handling. Depth signing if true. Was charged with assaulting his gf at the time in 2011.

Toovey's getting a little greedy with all these signings isnt he? Where's he going to put them. I also hope this doesnt inhibit too many of our talented younger bucks. Great that we're recruiting so qualitatively and quantitatively well. But there are only so many places in first grade, NSW Cup and NYC.

Couldn't disagree more Bearfax. We've been among the least to recruit over the past few seasons, have lost 5 players from our top squad and we have a number of players in the back end of their NRL careers. Did you not see the number of players released from NSW Cup and NYC?

Aint got the list of lost talent SE. Wasnt being so much critical as wary. Hate to develop a whole bunch of top young talent only to see most of it, with Manly training styles, grabbed by other clubs after the year is up. And Manly had a pretty decent SG Ball and Matthews Shield set of players last year. Hate to see them miss their opportunities just because the NSW Cup and NYC teams performed poorly in 2012 (though noted when a couple of SG Ball kids came up to NYC team late in the year Manly started to win more than they lost in that grade).

You forget how rubbish our NYC team was last year (granted they appeared to be alot younger and smaller than the other teams). That would have impacted on how many players got contracts for the NSW cup team.

T-Rex couldnt catch, run fast, turn around quickly or tackle too well when he first came to Manly. He was just a tank with a one direction setting...forward. Wasnt just Dessie that got T-Rex on track. A lot of those people still work at Manly and Toovey's not slow to learn.

Then sack the lot because he went from forward setting to neutral last year and couldn't get out of it.
