The best strategy here, and obviously I'm not privy to the inner workings of the salary cap, but it would seem we would want killer to usher the next generation of outside backs into manly. Spend this year blooding our next generation of props (Sao, Cunningham, trbojevic, Lawrence). Let kite and kingy go at the end of the year and give killer whatever he needs to stay.

My son in law (mad Panthers fan) reckons Thurston to the Panthers in 2014 is close to a done deal....apparently the Cowgirls just don't have the cap space left and as it will be JT's "last hurrah" he wants the big dollars.

I know this is reported elsewhere in the media but he reckons part of the deal is a Channel 9 job with Gus after his playing days are over....so it's not just big money now but a guarantee of big money (for a time a least) post playing career.
