Zorba is entitled to his opinion as we all are
His first opinion was way off the mark when he said that Schuster would leave if Foran is singed
We all know that Schuster is staying
His Second opinion is that Foran will not give value to Manly because his body wont hold up and he does not think Foran can excel at 9
There are two sides to Forans signing . A positive one and a Negative one and there are more positives points than negative ones when you weight everything out
The positives are that Foran is a proven competitor .
He comes at a bargain price with only a one year contract with a second in our favour
He will be a great mentor to Schuster and the other young players and should also be an inspiration
He is one of the best readers of the game at that is one of the main number 9s attributes
Foz is a smart player that takes smart options on the field and will be a massive upgrade on all the mediocre players that have filled the position this year that Foran is taking over
He will have a over a full off season to take care of his body and heal
There is no guarantee that Forans body will hold up or break down
Nothing is for certain
I say to Peter Peters and all the doubters ....
WE WILL NEVER LIVE TO SEE THE WONDERS OF PROBABILITY UNLESS WE CLEAR THE NEGATIVE DOUBTS IN OUR MIND
I remember seeing Panoutas Peterides play.
He was an average 1st grader of the time, played in one winning GF. At his best he pinballed it around the field with a fitness level and shape which would make George Rose stand out like a Wolverine character.
I dont really care about his football career; he played for Manly with passion and to the best of his ability.
It's his off the field antics I cannot stand. He has always been a disruptive influence behind the board rooms of the Football Club and the Leagues Club causing both infighting and separation of the two entities.
He was suspended from the Leagues Club board at one stage for inappropriate comments about a fellow female board member. He presided on a Leagues Club board which, over a decade of unprofitable trading, which saw the withdrawal of any support to the Football Club.
During that time, the Leagues Club fell from being one of the top two Club's on the Northern Beaches, to be now only one quarter of its previous size and with no assets to speak of.
He has since become the spokesman for his in-laws, the Penn's, pushing their agenda, but always ready to do an about-face, when the opinion falls against him.
I can't believe we are still writing about his thoughts, one week after the initial inflammatory comments made about Foran?
