Zorba is entitled to his opinion as we all are
His first opinion was way off the mark when he said that Schuster would leave if Foran is singed
We all know that Schuster is staying

His Second opinion is that Foran will not give value to Manly because his body wont hold up and he does not think Foran can excel at 9

There are two sides to Forans signing . A positive one and a Negative one and there are more positives points than negative ones when you weight everything out
The positives are that Foran is a proven competitor .
He comes at a bargain price with only a one year contract with a second in our favour
He will be a great mentor to Schuster and the other young players and should also be an inspiration
He is one of the best readers of the game at that is one of the main number 9s attributes
Foz is a smart player that takes smart options on the field and will be a massive upgrade on all the mediocre players that have filled the position this year that Foran is taking over
He will have a over a full off season to take care of his body and heal
There is no guarantee that Forans body will hold up or break down
Nothing is for certain
I say to Peter Peters and all the doubters ....
WE WILL NEVER LIVE TO SEE THE WONDERS OF PROBABILITY UNLESS WE CLEAR THE NEGATIVE DOUBTS IN OUR MIND
I remember seeing Panoutas Peterides play.

He was an average 1st grader of the time, played in one winning GF. At his best he pinballed it around the field with a fitness level and shape which would make George Rose stand out like a Wolverine character.

I dont really care about his football career; he played for Manly with passion and to the best of his ability.

It's his off the field antics I cannot stand. He has always been a disruptive influence behind the board rooms of the Football Club and the Leagues Club causing both infighting and separation of the two entities.

He was suspended from the Leagues Club board at one stage for inappropriate comments about a fellow female board member. He presided on a Leagues Club board which, over a decade of unprofitable trading, which saw the withdrawal of any support to the Football Club.

During that time, the Leagues Club fell from being one of the top two Club's on the Northern Beaches, to be now only one quarter of its previous size and with no assets to speak of.

He has since become the spokesman for his in-laws, the Penn's, pushing their agenda, but always ready to do an about-face, when the opinion falls against him.

I can't believe we are still writing about his thoughts, one week after the initial inflammatory comments made about Foran?

I listened to this and I do agree with his assessment on Forans signing. He also underlined the Schuster situation and mentioned that there was a clear the air meeting on Friday last between the kid, his Mum, manager, Hasler and Stephen Humphries where it was stated that Foran would be in the 9 role for 2021.

Zorba rightly pointed out that Foran wont be able to train pretty much until the new year due to his pec injury and that is a huge gamble the club has taken in signing him.

This is also assuming that Fainu is going to be exonerated from his charge.

For the life of me I do not understand why we do not sign a specialist 9!!
Ask penn he would be the one to answer this

The Peters Positive Perspective
We all have strengths and weaknesses and flaws .
Some people remember Peters as a competitor and a tough durable player as well as a skillful forward who could also kick goals . For those that have seen the most brutal ever 1973 grand final would never doubt his courage and ability or compare him to a Wolverine

Peters to his credit has been the longest serving Manly club employee and like most passionate people are outspoken and stand firm with their views.

I look at all Manly people in a positive light as they are all passionate about our club and have all made some worthy contributions .

That’s the first time in years I’ve actually listened to the prick. I dislike him for a lot of the reasons you listed, plus he was a dead set knob to @Mark from Brisbane when he had the MWTS going. He’s such a vengeful, egotistical cockhead imo.

He's a good backup. Now we have dce/foran/schuster/walker and cust who can all play in the halves. Hooker is an issue. I suppose foran/cust and croker will be the 9's until fainu is back. There will be injuries for sure. If anything like this year at least we have some depth.

If foran is injured in the early rounds which is very possible then schuster has nothing to worry about anyway. If schuster or dce are injured and foran is now then we still have two good halves. Walker as backup.

Yeah I don't think Cust and Croker will be considered at 5/8 With Schuster, Foran and Walker options. Cust and Foz are on the starting 17 and Croker as a back up hooker ONLY

I think zorb is essentially a good bloke and was a great footy manager. When the penns took control of the club it was really messy. He was in an unenviable position. Everyone involved did things they would have been conflicted by. It got personal and he probably reacted poorly at times.

He had to go to heal the wounds so manly could go forward as a club and probably was hurt badly considering his lifelong contribution

I could comment with historical references, however the season is now over and as my late grandfather would have said;

" It's immetestical"
