Just wondering whether he played full back or 6 for the Burleigh G F side . Recall the commentators mentioning that the Burleigh full back as previously playing with lower grades West Tigers so maybe he is just returning home but did have some wraps . If he was the 6 , would be a different reference all together . Be interesting as to what the average pay grade of a Black Town registered player is , part professional no doubt and would vary on performance level and could even be based on a win / loss basis for some or most .

DP played five eight in the grand final. Kurtis Rowe may be the ex tigers full back your thinking of.

Palm Beach Currumbin and Keebra Park both out of titans catchment but only 15 mins drive away
Palm Beach Currumbin and Keebra Park are not feeders for any club. Just high schools.
Although both are on the Gold Coast. The boys in their teams that are signed to clubs are signed to a variety of nrl clubs - most of the contracted or club rep team players at Palm Beach Currumbin are Titans.

Dylan was the major reason why Burleigh won the comp
Has X factor. Bit of a nutcase which was great for team energy but can make the odd howler when he tries too hard. Defence needs a little work. Around the Bears club they think he is NRL first grade material for sure if Des can get his defence right.Similar to Metcalf re strengths and weaknesses but not as quick. I doubt Bears will go back to back without him.

Think that Burleigh used to be originally a Titans feeder club, now Broncos apparently . Just ridiculous really considering they are in the greater Gold Coast area . Even if the Brisbane Bombers or whatever are formed or included soon , a club like Burleigh should be always designated as an official Titans feeder club surely .
Yes. Tweed Heads Seagulls, Burleigh Bears, and Central Queensland Capras are all feeder clubs for the Titans. Burleigh were only aligned with the Broncos for one season (2009).

I don't know that I would be comparing him to Metcalfe Sue...His defence is actually very good(way better than Metcalfe) and has some organizational skills and ability to use and work with players around him that Metcalfe wishes he had.He is definitely NRL material as he has played NRL with Knights,(he was only let go due to failing a drug test)he was used a lot as a bench dummy half(good defender) with the ability to cover 6,7 and 1 if necessary in a game(halves is probably his best spot)
I think he would probably be a better bench option than anyone we currently have, but he is no chance to play NRL this year.Have a good year with Blacktown and anything is possible next year....

Noticed he is also quite big... 6 foot 2 and 100kg.

Yes i know they are schools. Keebra and Easts tigers have a relationship. East tigers feed to the storm. David Fafita ( i think it was him) signed for brisbane because the titans didnt want him to play for keebra.

Smokin I probably saw half a dozen Burleigh home games myself and the GF and I thought his defence was ok. The questions about his defence actually came from the football manager at Burleigh who is a mate of mine and obviously had a lot to do with Jimmy Lenihan and Dylan on weekly basis. Interesting Jimmy got the assistant role to Holbrook.Hope he goes well with Jimmy Dymock.

The brief comparison I was trying to make with Metcalfe is he can pull off the brilliant play but can also have brain fades as well. Has a good passing game and kicks well.

I put Metcalfe slightly ahead of him I suppose because so much of the modern game is about speed now and he is lightning but my opinion is predicated on the idea he will end up a five eight.

I know Metcalfe has played mainly at half but I think he’ll end up as a running five eight in the future, especially if the interchange drops to six and there are more big tired defenders and attackers out there. As an organising half I too would have worries, but i would have the same worries about Dylan at 7.

No problem. I was trying more to clarify the Titans catchment area statement as boys from both schools can get Titans contracts (junior development / junior rep).
You will find that at Keebra there will be boys with contracts with NRL clubs other than the Storm, probably the Storm are paying for scholarships for some of the boys that they have scouted and moved into the area due to both there East Tigers relationship and, more importantly, because Keebra has a specialist Rugby league program. Probably they are some of the better players in Keebra's school team too.

The Titans have been poor at recruiting for a long while now but they are starting to do some good things e.g. Northern Rivers Titans junior rep teams, Tweed Seagulls Mal Meninga cup team. (NSW power!!!)
