The Pepsi well they tried to make it look like a can but we had good success with that one
But there is definitely 2 that i dislike the yellow super hero and a one off Delmege one

I like the simplicity of the plain text sponsorships, sympathetically placed with the jersey design in mind. Therefore Pioneer, Wormald, P & O, Kaspersky 2011. Although I don't mind current URM one.

i can still remember cliffy & the rest of the manly 7's team in their pepsi jersey being presented with the trophy for winning the coca cola 7's!
and i've still got a pepsi jersey, its a little worse for wear now but i think that gives it a bit of character.

The AFL have generally got the sponsor thing okay. They have a small sponsor square on the front, leaving their jersey looking fairly original. I did see an AFL game the other day and there was a sponsor on the back of a jersey. Bad move, NRL jerseys resemble billboards or V8 Supercars.

I still have the amp and the smaller reel to reel.

For me Wormald, Pioneer, P&O and Fuji

I actually installed a house alarm system from Wormald because they sponsored the Sea Eagles, I purchased a Pioneer car stereo system and a 3 in one system back in the day. I took some of my holiday's on P&O Fairstar (The Fun Ship 😉) and I used to buy fuji film 🙂

Ahhh, yes the f@ck ship, good times.

I remember sitting at my Nans house it late '92 when the Manly daily did an article on the new jersey (pepsi) for the 1993 season. My nan was horrified about the red a blue stripe being added to suit the sponsor.

I have a vague recollection of the pepsi jersey announcement. From memroy, at the time we were one of the first NRL clubs (along with the bongos) to change their jersey from the "traditional"

Loved Pepsi. Slightly off topic, my Dad was fairly high up at Victa when they sponsored Western Suburbs in the late 70's. We used to watch Manly and Wests bash the crap out of each other and then after the game we would go into the Wests dressing room (hopefully with a smile).

Pioneer was always the classiest, oddly enough my primary hobby over the last couple of years has been restoring vintage Pioneer receivers, I wondered where I got the urge, but now I think I know 🙂
