But seriously, my first Manly memories are of us dominating teams whilst wearing the Wormald strip, so that will always be my favourite. My first jersey was the maroon with white hoops, Wormald on the front and 9 on the back as Crusher Cleal was my favourite player at the time (for the youngsters playing at home 9 used to be a 2nd rowers number, not Hooker)

I'm in the minority, I hated the Pepsi jersey - I think it was butt ugly. Wormald and our current sponsor. Pioneer, P&O also up there.

Yeah, I have to agree on the Pepsi one - I thought it was a really bad move adding colours into the jersey design just to suit a sponsor.

Also annoys me a bit that the ones they did as a 'retro' release don't have the Pepsi logo that was actually on the jerseys in the '96 GF (Pepsi changed their logo midway thru that year, and the newer logo looked better) - I have a 'thing' about owning a jersey from each of the premiership years, my original Pepsi one is falling apart, but the new ones aren't correct! My original is also 3/4 sleeve, not short sleeves like the re-release.

Wouldn't have been '87? Pepsi was mid-90s - one of my favourites because it was the first jersey I ever bought brand new, with my own money (I was 16). The Wormald jersey is another favourite, it was the first jersey I ever owned (hand me down from my brother) - I had the white one as a little kid, have the maroon retro version now.

But...I actually really like the 72/73 retro one with no sponsors, and the next one I've got my eye on is the 1957 retro, in 'proper' fabric with no sponsors!

Beware.
The proper fabric is bloody hard to wear and was even worse to play in.
It's OK if it's freezing cold but I just can't wear them without feeling like I'm in a straight jacket.
I've got the 72 model with the lace up collar. Display only these days.

I actually didn't mind the FAI jerseys, never owned one though.

I only ever played in the old-school ones, I like that they're thicker and warmer because I'm a huge sook about cold lol...and footy jerseys were my go-to between races when I was a swimmer as well. The modern ones need three layers of thermals under them in winter

Except when it was cold, wet and muddy.
And sand would stick to them and rub skin away and give you nipple rash among other things.

My faves are anything that came in the original hoops - Pioneer, ADT, Wormald. I like the Pepsi jumpers but honestly they were a corporate sell out. Since when was blue a part of Manly's strip? Since 93 when Pepsi came along. Our traditional hoops jersey is the best. I've always thought they should sell a supporters jersey in tradional style with normal jersey collar. No sponsors and just the Sea Eagle logo. I'd buy a truckload?

Pioneer. When I bought my first car, first thing I did was rip the stereo and speakers out, get down to Straithfield car radios and fit it with Pioneer gear (cost me a bundle!), but was so worth it.

Slightly off topic. As commercialised as anything to do with the US is, I've always admired that their sports uniforms are sacred. NFL, NBA, MLB etc have no sponsors whatsoever on their strips. Pretty much everything else is fair game, but their playing strips are clean.

Delmege as Max was our saviour. I have kept an old jacket as it's a Delmege one.

Closely followed by Pioneer. Our first sponsor in the late 70's and it looked good on the white jerseys.

Yer mate the old thick ones were the go , but growing up in glen innes mum would wash it and the bastard wouldnt dry for a month. jeez.
