Who will walk the plank?

I think this article is bang on in terms of Barrett. I also liked the last sentence.

Have a read.

Manly Sea Eagles
Manly were a massive disappointment last year. In Trent Barrett’s first season as coach, the veteran Sea Eagles squad looked their age, playing a tired brand of rugby league.

For a fan-base accustomed to success, missing the finals for a second consecutive season was painful. Not since a Young Liberal mistook a shiraz for a cabernet has the stench of failure hung so heavy over the Northern Beaches.

I think its fair Barrett is on that list. He's not 'safe' but few coaches are, so its not anything new for most of them. There is nothing much in this piece that we dont already know. Stating the obvious etc.

I think a big factor will be how much games experience we have lost, which this journo identified. On the other hand, fresh young pups who are hungry, mixed in with some steady older heads with experience (Myles, Blake Green, DCE - he is 28 now), is a good thing to offset that.
