So I'm really looking forward to seeing Paseka, Keppie, Suli, Parker, Cust, Garrick, Funa, Gosiewski, Olakuatu and Sipley stepping up their games. It's time these guys showed dominance, agression, power in their games. They're at career crossroads now. Are they topline nrl players or just could've, would've been types Anymore insipid limp performances from any of these guys and they will need to be shown the door. Last years rubbish cannot be repeated. No excuses now.

Olakuatu, thought he “stepped up” really well in the couple of games played! I really don’t think he is at a career crossroad, lol.

Urgency and intensity just has to be there against any side but particularly against sides like the Roosters . Hope that they can get some pride and bench marks back into their defence again , that will be critical , just can not keep leaking a lot of points and expect to be competitive . Have our share of decent attacking players but for sure , need the pack or the side going forward to create the opportunities . Broncos played with quite a bit of spirit and willingness last night against a good rated opposition and almost got home , for Manly to also show that at least would be a good thing .

When you look at some of the stats that @Ryan has put up this last week highlighting just how poor the second half of last season was, the simple answer is eveyone from CEO to backslappers

Attitude, self belief, call it what you want, the team simply wasnt first grade standard and accepted defeat way too easily

Its a big day in manlys history today. We dont have to win but we need to be committed. If the team lays down and i am not saying they will. But if they dont fight for every minute today regardless of the score , the manly we have grown to know, fortress brookvale, the insular peninsula, the silvertails , the history others have built will be laughable

If the team is waiting for tom, which translates to waiting for someone else , well thats not manly

Go the eagles, stand tough, stand tall but win lose or draw dont take a backward step

As a defensive unit we have to, you cannot go around and concede 30 plus points a game like we did in the 2nd half of last season. We need to fix our ruck defence and it means that the players in the 9 role really need to hold their own especially or it will impact on our halves in a big way.

That was disappointing today’s effort, the senior playing group was AWOL.

Our captain failed to inspire and lead by example a misfiring underperforming team.

Based on the player efforts today the clean out missed a few big names..

Is it time for a player leadership change, replacing DCE with Foran as club captain?
