Agree, it’s not losing that burns it’s the way they keep throwing games. Seriously how many people could feel a 2nd half capitulation coming before they even ran back on the field. We get run down so often it’s beyond predictable. It’s almost a surprise when we don’t. The players seem unaffected and the coach forgiving. Not a great time to rebuild but something got to change

I can't watch these post match press conferences....imagine Bellamy if the shocking Newcastle minus ANY front rowers ran over Storm like that ...would be frothing like a rabid dog and rightfully so.
If Seibold is ANYTHING like his press conference in the dressing shed, no wonder the players show no backbone and desperation when the going gets tough, folding like a cheap deck chair.....it's like they are still given a smile and handed the "participation" award like the kid who runs 112th at the school carnival.
Tooves defended his team when they deserved it from shocking calls and "investigations", but he never held back about lack of effort and poor performances...it's called accountability and anyone who chases success in any field in this world, requires this as a non negotiable to become the Best they can be...

To give players a rocket would be an indictment of his “mr positive” coaching philosophy ie an admission of failure. That’s why all losses come with 1. At least one excuse and 2. Reference to positives, real or imagined.

Wow, 2 whole examples. I concede. A spray from the coach never works. Best stick to excuses + positives. That seems to work.

Not sure seibs is the answer but we have to identify the journey

Currently he seems to mix a bit of short term and long term

As manly coach i would think first role is to outsee the leadership group at present value, and still stay employed . He seems to have penn on his side as the results talk have hushed. Only a bionic tom was going to deliver results in the short term

I am not sure if the shedding and building coach is the same person to bring us success.
But i still see seibs as coach for a bit longer . His moneyball approach might work if had some money
Not going to judge him until i see Fogarty run the show for a bit. Its been the same ****show regardless of coaches

I dont give a **** about-press conferences ( never watch them) or media bull****, and to be honest neither should any hard arsed footy fan. Its all gush and politics. Being a coach would suck.

I think what happened at half time is the players got booed off the field and the coach said see the blonde guy out there at centre, he didn't start the game at centre ...

And our coach, one can only imagine, but he probably handed out the accolades and instilled the hard core attitude we showed up with for the second half, well done, handled like a true professional.

Wouldn't discount Lodge altogether Frogz, he had really good stat's in the reserves last match. Give him a few more games and let's see where he's at. When he first played with us he dominated opposition forwards. You don't just lose that ability, also, the long injury lay-off didn't help his cause either.

Yes I agree, it’s as poor as piss, here’s a couple you left out…….

“I don’t care about the result”

And

“I don’t think playing at Brookie is an advantage” fancy saying that, not recognising and or acknowledging our home ground and the sanctity the fortress was and or should be.

I sick to death of listening to him searching for and at times making up the positives, he just doesn’t seem to have it in him to face the truth and say it as it is, comes across as extremely week to me and people wonder why Manly can’t find that hard edge to come out in the second half and finish a game off.
