Who abducted the team from the 1st half ??

Well what a great 1st half....winning collissions, running with aggression and support, solid kick/chase game.
Then we go to the sheds where the aliens ship was awaiting
The players though looking similar, have been cloned by a rabble and the players are off to the pub.
That 2nd half lacked venom, any line speed, couldn't lock up the footy in defence, desperation was poor and the rest is history. :wondering:
It was pretty sickening hearing the Knights love fest from Voss, but in reality, Manly made them look pretty damn good.
Every time they went wide looked likely and the desperation even after hitting the lead was very poor.
No big suprise after a great Win last weekend, that this was the "Off week".
Anyway just want to make sure the players from the 1st half can make it to the game next week if possible and the blokes in that 2nd half can be taken back to planet Zog....please pick another team to abduct next time dear alien friends... :wait:
Can’t agree mate

We should have been ahead by 30 at half time . They were awful and we wasted multiple opportunities with arrogant plays.

When DCE kicked on half time I knew we would lose. I think everyone on here knew if they scored early in second half we would fold .. and we did… as we neatly always do.

There is no positive out of the first half. They had more than half a first grade side out with no props. All this Lehi cost us the game is just bull****. We were playing a decimated worst side in the comp who averaged ****ing 13 points a game for half a season (with 8 zero point first halves) , led 16 nil and LOST.

You have some seriously good points and that low percentage kick end of 1st half with knights on the rack, had me in shock and Haumole from 5 out would have waltzed over.
Still a far better 1st half in relation to running with more aggression and quicker play the balls and the defence imo, was visibly better also....but, I see some valid points you make and agree should have been 24+ up, It's just a difference of opinion on quality between each half, where I feel clearly 1st half was at least 30% better

I think what happened at half time is the players got booed off the field and the coach said see the blonde guy out there at centre, he didn't start the game at centre ...

Put that on top of the poor game management by our halves continuing into the second half ... boom!

Garrick is the worst defender in the comp.
DCE keeps kicking on the 3rd instead of building pressure. Brooks and Burbo are not first grade standard. We need a rebuild. Scrap the coach, the halves and the 3 brothers.

Whats the point about bitching that our forwards cant do this , cant do that. Gives our playmakers no chance. They set the tone, dominate, provide space and Captain ****nuckle plays low % footy with there toil.

Yes our fwd pack doesnt finish on top often, but they do start on top enough or even for us to construct a game , but our dumb dumb play negates anything they can do

That kick before half time is everything we hate about manly for the last decade but it was probably crokers fault

And to think some fans think DCE manages games because all he does it pass.
You need footy IQ to manage, DCE just distributes ball with flair ,

Imagine how good OKU will be when a halfback draws defenders instead of him having to belt through 4 defenders who just slide on him as cherry doesnt play his part

Thought we missed froggy big time in the second half.

Seibolds test is to drop him , his lack of control, judgement and footy IQ is extraordinary. He needs to castanza his bizzaro world, and do the opposite of every emotion and impulse he feels.

I have the obvious answer for you my Good feathered friend
The answer is short , sweet and complete .

The Extraterrestrial force that The Manly players faced at half time was Seibold
The Extraterrestrial force that the Knights players faced that changed the course of the game was Obrien

The rest as they say is History of one of the greatest comebacks for the Knights
and another disappointing setback for the Once Great Manly Premiership Winning Sea eagles

Oh it was better mate but in in no way was it great. Great first halves don’t leave you with a nagging suspicion we will get run down in the second .,, something it seems almost everyone on here felt.

I thought first half we were good but not good enough. We should have done enough to be out of sight and not give Newcastle any hope at half time. Poor game management cost us again
What was missing was Paseka and Aloiai rolling the team up the middle, these 2 injuries have really impacted Manlys go forward and while Sipley had a decent game, imagine if they had 3 players like them getting easy yards. Bullimore tries hard but he is no No 8, get the big boppers back on the field asap and fortunes will change....hopefully.

Agree they help .., but Newcastle had zero props and lost their best forward in the first minute.Throw in their Origin centre was missing with a turnstile in his place.

Fair enough - I for 1 had that suspicion following the low percentage cross field kick from 5m out with Newcastle on the rack, rather than a simple pass or 2 for a try, but mine was "Iv'e seen this 3 + tries lead at HT before...we are no certainties"
But tbh mate, even up at 30 at halftime, I have no faith we are guaranteed the 2 points from what Iv'e seen the last 2 years.

The knights decided to actually have a dig in the second half. As we know, Manly can’t win under those circumstances. Call it attitude, complacency or an unwillingness to get in the trenches, it all falls back on the coach, who sets the standards, mindsets and behaviours.

I agree with everything but the O'Brien part....maybe he screamed some obsenities and put some fire up their backsides....but the real impact was the crowd booing them off at HT....they were always gunna come racing out the blocks and Manly were "somehow" suprised by this ambush and were on the back foot the entire 2nd half, this is a big Red flag on Seibold, as the players looked to be soft, lacking intensity to combat this obvious onslaught and once they gave the Knights a sniff, they grew in confidence and belief and started clicking like we played them into form after they were a rabble ready to cop a 50 point flogging.
Such an uninspiring game I am getting "Northern Eagles" vibes after sitting through such a punishing performance.
To wear the Seaeagles jersey used to be a an honour, now it seems a garment worn by blokes on retirement legs, mixed with average at best players and 3 - 4 stars.....very unbalanced and if the attitude is not on, these are the results we can expect with this side.

I agree with what you are saying as well as we both are high on our legendary Manly clubs standards .
I believe We have to give some credit to Obrien as he would have used the crowds verbal disapproval of his team at half time as a motivational factor . It was also evident that the Knights players not only psychologically lifted but they also changed their game plan to attack the Manly teams weaknesses . Something that Sielbold failed to establish

And no TKO, and forget about Lodge, he needs more games time in reserves to even think about coming back for 1st grade selection again.

I was not impressed by our first half - we should have been up ty 20 to 30 considering how bad the Knights were. And DCE kicking on the third for a trick shot when we should have been bashing over the line again was abominable
Agree, it’s not losing that burns it’s the way they keep throwing games. Seriously how many people could feel a 2nd half capitulation coming before they even ran back on the field. We get run down so often it’s beyond predictable. It’s almost a surprise when we don’t. The players seem unaffected and the coach forgiving. Not a great time to rebuild but something got to change
