We just lack the outside backs needed to have a real crack at this comp ATM..
With turbo in we win that game.. Every time we went to the sweeping left movement, it shut down the minute Elliot got involved as no team fears him.. With turbo, some rush in, some hold back incase he passes and the gaps open almost every time..
Parker brings nothing but dissapointment.. That trip was absolutely un needed and cost us the game..
As much as I don't want to have to rely on a player like Walker coming back, fact is, without Tom and Walker we don't win these games. With them, last night was 2 points to us

Good we are finally competing and not a go at you Harvies,but we aren't short in my opinion,we had Trbojevic and Walker out last night in the backs,isn't that the touch of class you say we need but already have contracted?I have said all along we have a top 8 roster or better,the best just needed to be brought out of them.We are a lot closer than aint far off...

De$ inherited a team that had been undermined by the owners and whiteanted to the point that they almost won the spoon, the majority of this team the year before had over achieved in most peoples eyes and finished 6th and that is the coaching comparison of the current squad. Barrett inherited a team split and had $1M on the sidelines getting their backended "entitlements" from the De$ years that cost Tooves his job.
De$ has also massively increased his support staff which is something the owners refused to do last year.
He also no longer has Zorba inside the organisation to deal with which must make life a lot easier.
Essentially De$ has the best opportunity for the last 5 + years so #noexcuses and we are 3 and 3 owing only to Reynolds sh!t kicking rather than great play.

As I said last night in the game day thread, its amazing what having a coach who actually knows what they are doing can do for a side, especially one like ours which lacks the salary cap free talent of a Chooks or Storm.
Despite that we lost our opening two games, conceding 20 and 26 in those games respectively, our defence is thousands better than it was last year. And the pleasing thing is that although we don't have the strike power in the backs with Tom out injured and Walker out suspended, we are still having a go. Sure we are going to struggle to score against some sides without those two who are genuine game breakers, but our defence is standing up to be counted and not just rolling over and dying like we saw in the back half of 2018.
Under Barrett we only hoped we could win. With Des back there is a belief that we can beat anyone.

The great thing about last night was there wasn’t much scrambling defence compared to the previous games it was more organised.Wow this is fantastic & will only get better,could we be looking at top 8 maybe now.

So you are going to blame Des for Stewart Stewart Matai watmough Foran and DCE contract issues.
Fact 1 Brett signed his last contract after Des left the club
Fact 2 Matai signed his last contract after Des left the club.
Fact 3 Barrett and bozo decided they were both done and needed to be retired.
Fact 4 foran and DCE were off contract in the same season for contracts signed or upgraded after Des left
Fact 5 Glenn and choc left the club at the end of 2014 3 years after Des left the club.
But hey gav don’t let the facts ruin your narrative you clown.
Barrett and his clowns eroded our clubs culture. Des for his faults gets it he’s brought back manly people and the team is playing like manly.

The best and scary thing to remember we are essentially playing around 1 million under the salary cap penalty 300,000 plus walkers salary and him not playing.
Can you imagine next year we play for the first time with a full cap, the players who don’t perform Des will let go.
2020 is really when things will really improve.

This Season we have shown we are a different team as our resilience on the field is for all to see that know what real passion means
Under Des we definitely over achieved leading the Dragons and being into the game right till the end and unlucky to to win it thanks to the refs .
The Dragons could not penetrate our defence to get over the line and could only menage to do it by Kicks ...... 2 kicks
You predicted that we were lucky to win a game this year with our mainly reserve grade team and the win would come in round 10 against the dogs
We smashed the Warriors in NZ , We beat Souths without Tommy and Newcastle with 12 men .
