I’ve been waiting to see Manly put on a few set plays . Last year we only done a few but they worked or went close ; which lead to a try from the next play .

Just watched the Manly-Brisbane match again. The team really put in and were all over the Bronks. DCE was brilliant again, Jake suggested to me he is the best forward going around at the moment. Walker for once thrived in his 5/8 possie, though I still would like him back in the centre. Api was everywhere. Lane, Paseka and Thompson dominated in the centre. AFB grows every week. For one Taupau was not one of the dominent forwards and I think Barrett was giving him a rest. Tom T was getting back to his damaging best after a shaky start. The wingers did their part and Matt's double kick episode surprised me regarding how clever he can be. Kelly did some quite sublime things and despite Suli's good initiation, Kelly was a class ahead. And Tom W's short cameo looked like he really wanted to be out there, trying hard to involve himself unlike some of his Reggie efforts. And despite the criticism, they looked in attack well structured. They still have some defensive issues though.

If this team could consistently play like that, the commentator who said they were Top 4 quality was spot on. Lets hope Hodko brings them to the next level.

Big ups to TB... our team was playing themselves out of games with errors, penalties and missed tackles during that horror month which was feeding this media narrative of rifts in the playing group... at the same time he has been dealing with salary cap BS that was not of his making, a growing injury list that is almost biblical and a board of management that was prepared to push their coach and captain out front to face the pack of media dogs instead of doing their job and taking pressure off the team...
Yet through all that TB has stuck fat with his core team (against the advice of 'experts' such as myself) and managed to inspire enough belief in his players to win 2 of the hardest away games in the NRL...
He may not be 'Manly' but he sure as s..t put some Manly passion into that team Saturday night...
Upgrade Barrett now lol... and sorry for the novel....
