Haven't read much of this thread at all, and probably won't bother, but tonight shows the reason why I believe Barrett has a future at NRL level as a coach

He pinpointed a corridor Brisbane were weak, and for the entire first half we exploited that and made huge metres.
Then knowing that they would be talking about that at ht, we change our tactics completely and destroy them through the middle and open up the match winning lead with inside passes back through the ruck

It shows good dissection pre game, and the players executed it perfectly which made it look even better

Fiction is believing Barrett will coach us to a premiership . Picking Green and Croker turned out to be astute decisions. He only blooded Suli because he moved Walker to five eight where he should of debuted him weeks ago and put Uate back to reserves and practice catching. He continues to play the pedestrian Wright brothers and the next immortal Brown instead of chancing his arm with Tom Walker and Sipley. I have no faith in our intellectual giant of a coach and his coaching posse of no bodies.

I've bagged the coach when we lose so it's only fair he gets the Kudos when we win as impressive as that.

There was a real change in effort an attitude tonight, hopefully can keep it going

The team has never played two consistent games in a row so not expecting much against the storm at this stage

Also happy with the Hodko deal, a move in the right direction aslong as it's only untill 2019 and we paid a fair price

One thing I've noticed is that players Barrett brings in tend to step up and do the job. First Tanginoa, Lane, then Gosi, and now Paseka and Suli. Even Hastings did quite well in the games he was brought in. There must be a decent level of motivation and positivity in the squad, methinks.
Let's see if last night marks a real momentum shift in our season. It's certainly possible.

Honestly Mark one win after 5 consecutive losses does not change a thing. Perhaps 5 consecutive wins will get me on board, but right now this is grasping at straws.

I get your drift , I know where you are at, but we’ve listen to it ( everyone not just you) for five long weeks.

Can we maybe just have a few days where we say “ job well done boys, onwards and upwards”.

I’m sure after next weekend there’ll be plenty of ammunition to fire everyone up again as we are not Melbourne Storm standard by a long way.

But just a few days break would be , relaxing!!
