To me it shows how weak Barrett is as a Leader, can you imagine a playing group going to Bellamy/Bennent/Hasler and saying yeah im not playing with this bloke.
Barrett wants to be their mate, well your playing days are over and you are no longer one of the boys, time to stand up be a leader and guide this team out of the three years of mediocre standards you have set.

By all accounts scam did exactly that and went and cried about the attitude of a couple of young blokes. It's part of the reason why they dropped Croft. Players tried to revolt under hasler at grub (josh reynolds) not being offered a contract. Ultimately that was the nail in his coffin. Klemmer went to board people cause he didn't get on with hasler. More recently players complained about suli's attitude and ivan cleary cut up his contract. Happened with dugan and ferguson at the raiders. It happens everywhere. No point looking through rose coloured glasses about certain coaches. They still get their fair share like any workplace

I think the fans need to unite and stick by this team. It even seems like half the people on here hate the team and the club. I think we should leave that to the rest of the world.
They way I see it is that the NRL under Greenberg wanted to throw the book at Manly for something/anything. Think of the ridiculousness of match fixing to lose, flipped to salary cap cheating to win - all over TPA discrepancies. We are now hamstrung with lack of depth and serious injury. Any media story is aimed at bringing down Manly. We should not be our own worst enemies.
Unite, light your torches, and stick by our team when times are tough.
Otherwise go and support the Broncos or Roosters who can juggle the cap every which way, including loose. and influence the media as well.
Maybe the next good news story will be poor little Jackson Hastings offered a lifeline by the Broncos. Insert vomit.

There is now confirmation from the players in the team that the team is split over the Hastings/DCE fight. We are a cats chance in hell of winning a game until this is resolved. Things are tough enough without this division in the team, come on guys, time to try and get along for the greater cause!!!

We were informed on Monday that the ENTIRE team wanted nothing to do with Hastings in the team and demanded his removal, today 3 players have given their support for Hastings and would be prepared to have him in the team, according to Nine news that I watched. I hope that this is resolved fast and the team rally together!

You know out of all this jake is the only player I really feel for Him

He is really one of the few players , administrators,coaches at the moment that really is showing any real heart towards the club. I know this may sound crazy but if we don't sort things out soon as a club I can see both Tom and Jake leaving to go somewhere else more successful.

I really hope they don't leave but if we are not careful as a club I could this happening.

As to this weekend
Parra 20+ for mine and then watch this forum go into meltdown next week.

If you were put in front of the media and asked would you want him in your team (even though you didn't) what would you say.... Especially given that there's all this BS talk about his state of mind.

Players have media advisors. They would have been told to answer that question as PC as possible.

Gawd.....

It's like car (Manly) has a misfire and everyone (the media/fans) are running around yelling "This car is no good, throw it out, get a new one...tsk tsk tsk...what a crap car"

But the mechanics (those who know, mgt, the players, etc) realise the car just needs a spark plug replaced (hastings).

They replace it and the media and fans are still complaining the car is no good and the faulty sparkplug is in fact the best spark plug ever made ever and the car should be thrown away and a new one built around this amazing spark plug.



Or course - that analogy won't work if faulty spark plugs don't cause cars to misfire....what do I know? Don't you just get a new car when the petrol tank is empty?

I’ve read everything in the media and the only place I’ve seen that rumour is here in this forum. Can we please not spread rumors for the media to then pick up. It’s like a self fulfilling prophecy. Some moron like the mole or the lurker grabs a rumour from this forum and publishes it. Then someone on this forum reads it and confirms that the media is now reporting that. I swear that’s how half this **** gets started. If you love your club don’t spread whispers and innuendo and unless it’s from a reliable source. It’s destabilizing and we do it to ourselves
