Turbo the centre.

So fullbacks operate under a different award. If the union notices that turbo lines up at centre his hourly rate will be adjusted to the centre award. It could be a matter for the fair work commission.

I think (and hope) Des will be able to push (or ignore) the boundaries of traditional RL positions to get the most out of our best players. Tom is too big of an attacking weapon to be limited to a small part of the field at centre.
It's pretty pointless to look at Tom's performance this year when both our attack and defense were about as bad as it gets. We should see far more of Tom's true potential, regardless of his position, next year.

Please explain....
I think I might have gone through it although am not sure. Basically I feel Api is an individuals player, erratic and lacks committed direction, though is a brilliant individual attacker. Croker may be a risky, nowhere near proven option, although he seems stable, and a player that simply does a job. With Api off the bench, and good, uninterrupted direction from dummy half (halfbacks have typically shown they can direct a team bloody well at hooker) we can become a stronger all round, consistent side

My personal opinion though

Turbo Tom will come back as a fullback and will be the best in the NRL next year. When Dessie came in last time he had a young fullback named Brett Stewart who he quickly coached to be one of our best ever. Tom will get the guidance he needs to be one of the best fullbacks in the game.

I believe it could work depending on how he would hold up defensively. Seems to fit the bill as to what type of rake hasler seems to prefer as well. Good thinking bud. In my opinion though if this was to happen id be happy to let api walk. Too much money on the bench for a utility player... 400k +. If be happy with Fainu n spend the money elsewhere

Yeah definitely would be worth a think if something like this did eventuate, and defence would be his main concern. Luckily Des is generally strong in that department. He’ll need to be too, cause he has to toughen up Elgeys defence as well.

Why on earth would you not start Api? Fainu needs time as a utility too. I'd put hoppa at FB or wing and keep him for centre depth. But that's just me!

Yeah strange suggestion, though I explained my reasoning just above. Reckon there’s method to the madness, maybe dessy would be interested!

Des loves hookers that tackle all day and give quick ball put of the ruck.

Neither Api or Croker posses both. Fainu will be in jail.

Good point, though as a halfback already, Croker may already be halfway there. If he gets an off season, he could perform like a Ben Hunt at hooker. Hunt is pretty meh as a halfback and has his moments of potential, but when he went to hooker he was much more controlled and far more consistent, led the team around much better. Croker may not be the man in the end, it’d be risky, but I’d be keeping Api’s Spark to the bench and I’d be looking for a Hasler style dummy half for next season.

The halfbacks are the brains generally, so the more you can accommodate into the side the better imo

Turbo will be one of our best 2nd rowers ever ....

PSS .... I may have said that before I think ...

Fullback please.

He's only 2nd to Teddy.

Turbo just turned 22. He's still growing into his enormous frame. He's still learning.
He's a superstar. The more he touches the ball the better. He'd be wasted on one side of the field... Give him 3 more years (when he's Teddys age) and he'll easily be the best FB in the game.

... who is quite away ahead at this stage .... Teddy's defense is outstanding .... his attack is scintillating ... Tom's attack is mostly brilliant

Api used to be a half ...

Api used to be a half ...
Oh true hahah, not a very good one though! At least not in first grade. Croker wasn’t good either to be honest, although he seems very stable and capable of playing a dummy half role, at least for a season to simply do a job
