There is no A.I. Just better computers
Not far off the top centres in the game if at all.
More creative than roberts, chambers and just as good as Gayguy.
I dont believe goanna deserve to walk straight back into center either.

Very tempting to keep him there for Manly in 2019.

He ended up playing a bit of centre Snakes last year and did well. This was raised back then. Question is then what to do with Walker and Suli and also who plays 1. We also need some wingers so probably bigger fish to fry for Des I mean um... whoever is coach next.

Add young Gold Coast FB Brimson to the side and suddenly becomes electric

The manly 4 out there tonight would be easy to build a team around. Why couldn’t Trent do it?
Well, Trent has to bring his own plastic chairs and a desk in. His family apparently had to clean the gym ,so what do you expect?

That’s a huge difference compared to having 6 current international players plus one lapsed from last year, in a team, compared to the need of plastic chairs, a desk and a broom. But, then again, some people like TB obviously have other priorities.

I’ve been saying this for the past couple of years on here and kept on getting shot down for it.
Maybe people are starting to realise how lethal he would be at centre.
He’s great attacking at fullback but he cannot defend last man nor organise a line of defence.
Imagine the opportunities he would create on the edges

Tom is one of those players, like Rowdy Shearer was, who is talented enough to be a star whether playing at fullback, in the centres or on the wing.

He starred on the wing for NSW and in these two tests has played very well at right centre.

But here is the reality folks. While they can afford to play him in the three-quarters in rep football where there is the top talent all across the park, unless Manly sign a gun fullback like a Tedesco or RTS or Alex Johnston or even Will Hopoate or we have one who comes through the juniors, he ain't gonna to be playing anywhere but fullback for the maroon and white. And why would we need him to? We have Dylan Walker as a right centre (where Tom played in the tests) and Brian Kelly on the left.

As it currently stands, Tom is far more valuable to Manly as a running fullback than he would be in the centres. This year he was severely hamstrung by Barrett basically playing the whole season without a 5/8. More often than not (as in just about every bloody game), Tom had to forgo his running game and be in the line as an extra play maker.

Does anyone even remember 2017 when we had 2 halves (instead of one) and Tom was the best fullback in the competition?

Edit: In short, don't get ahead of yourselves thinking Tom should be moved to the centres at Manly. He would likely have played just as well in this 2 game series if he was on the wing or at fullback.

Nothing unusual and in a historical sense for established and top level club full backs to play representative footy in the centres. Also Tom is presently on elite full back"s contract money at 900 grand per season , so can hardly imagine him accepting and being satisfied going back to more realistic club quality centre "s money of 650 - 700 k or so . Still currently one of the best attacking full backs in the comp , sure he could still do with some slightly better positional and organizational judgement but that will come Let "t see how Kelly , Walker and maybe Suli or Garrick go for centre options in the near future before one of the best full backs in Manly club history even at this stage is even considered for a contentious positional change .

Versatile Tom Trbojevic hoping rep success follows him to Manly
CHRISTIAN NICOLUSSI OCTOBER 21, 2018
You cheekily ask Tom Trbojevic if the epic 26,214 crowd at Mt Smart Stadium reminded him of any given Friday night kick-off at Brookvale Oval, and the Manly star says: "It will next year. We'll just need a couple of wins."

Trbojevic, older brother Jake and halfback Day Cherry-Evans celebrated the Kangaroos' win over Tonga and the trio deserved extra credit because of the way they were able to block out the drama unfolding back home on the northern beaches.

Des Hasler is expected to be officially appointed the new Sea Eagles coach this week and Trbojevic was excited by the return of the two-time premiership winner.

"I've never met him. He finished up in 2011 and I was only 15," said Trbojevic, who flew home from Auckland to Sydney on Sunday and then continued to Bali for a well-earned break.

"I'm not sure what's going on there. If he wants to come, he's a two-time premiership winner and has made a lot of grand finals. He knows what he's doing so we'll have to wait and see.

"With the stuff with 'Baz' [out-going head coach Trent Barrett] I hope it all gets sorted out and we can move on. We start training in a couple of weeks and you wanted it all sorted by then so we can move forward and have a more successful year because we weren't good enough this year.

"[DCE] said [Hasler] is really good. He only had the one year with him in 2011 but won a premiership. If he gets us one of them it will be nice.

"I used to watch Manly and he was a very successful coach at the club and the Bulldogs as well, so he knows what he's doing. If he's to come I'll look forward to working with him."

The Trbojevic brothers enjoyed an Origin series victory while Cherry-Evans was brilliant in his return for Queensland in their game-three win this year but they all remained disappointed by Manly's lousy ladder position.

"We love representing our country and grateful we got to do that but we didn't win enough footy games for Manly this year. Hopefully we can win a few more next year because when we're winning the fans will turn up," Trbojevic said.

The versatile back bagged a double playing right centre for the Kangaroos even though he is the Sea Eagles No.1 and was utilised on the wing for the Blues.

"You'll play anywhere in an Australian jersey," Trbojevic said.

"For me, defensively it's very different. At some stages I did get found out [against Tonga] but I enjoy playing there and in this jersey and I'm thankful Mal [Meninga] gave me the opportunity.

"I enjoy playing fullback. That's where I've always played but in these rep teams you do what the coach asks of you.

"I didn't need to do much for the [two tries]. It's always good to get over the tryline. I'm more grateful for the win."
