Turbo good to go

Today proved, we have ZERO hope of winning semi final matches if he is not playing.

I really hope he has a blinder against the dogs.

Yep... we have other skilled backs, but only a fit Tom is an individual threat that attracts defenders, opens up our other attacking options and gives the rest of the team confidence to win against more fancied opposition.

If he doesn't play then we aren't proceeding.

Which to be fair is not too different to our 2005-14 team that didn't win very often without Brett Stewart (even though the surrounding team were much more hardened competitors).

I have suffered the identical injury as Tom in my playing days. Even needled up he will struggle and if you don't think he'll be targeted for the entire match you are deluded. The pain of such an injury is only second to Man-Flu and is way way worse than the childbirth pain described by my wife. Ultimately that injury ended my playing days as the shoulder started popping out willy nilly. I guess it is true that Tom is tougher than I was, but I really couldn't have played two weeks after my first injury.

Tom has to be hampered. Maybe 80% at best. I cannot see how he impacts the game in a positive way. Cronk was protected all game at 1/2. Tom will be exposed to high balls and his game revolves around a lot of involvement.

p.s. it may not matter. if we defend like we did against the Sharks we are Fooked!

Well said

you can imagine burton bombs and there forwards chasing puttinga few shots on turbo's shoulder

I really think he will be at best 50% and a non factor we are risking it all with him.

I think it will come back to bite us on the back this decision.

Every ones pain is different I guess, playing 4pm Sunday will help a bit, better than Friday, for the recovery side of things. Guess we'll all know after 10min.

We will lose and playing Tom will prob make the injury worse and he be out first 6 rounds next year…that’s about how it usually goes for us
It's got all the signs of another Changa Langlands 1975 GF. It'll be a disaster. He cannot possibly be alright to play with a grade 3 AC after 2 weeks. Can you imagine him under Burton's bombs. It'll be a Turkey shoot.

Well done Turbo!!
