Very glad to see him get through the game. Be even gladder when he's got some match fitness and moves back to fullback. Was funny listening to the commentators ask Jake how sore Toms shoulders will be after 23 tackles...they were 23 jumper grabs. I doubt his shoulders made contact once.

I love Tom, but he's too frail to defend in the centres and Koula doesn't offer enough creativity at fullback. I'd have Koula on the wing and Tommy T in the centres

No, his defence is not there, if you had a hard nosed edge forward you could get away with it, we don’t have one of them on the left and Guaca will be out for origin if he was to play on the right.

Partly agree, JBW, but we wouldn't have scored our last try (and therefore won the game) without Koula at fullback. No way in the world Tommy, as he is now, makes that break.

Id play Humphries or Croker ahead of him. If they aren't considered then Tom is the next best option. Lehi to FB, Koula to centre.

I like Tom but can we really afford to carry him at centre? I know he's underdone but can we really afford to keep a player who is a clear liability at the moment? Genuinely don't know where his career goes now if he can't finish the season and return for a full 2025.

It's sad to say but if we haven't already, do we need to start looking now for a Tom successor in 2025/6?

Today's game probably came too early for him. He clearly wasn't match fit. It's just a good job he wasn't full back, he would have been gone before half time with the extra involvement
