while I hope he has a mortgage on the number 1 for many years to come he's looking bigger and bigger each week.

he's obviously special and I'm thinking he could be a lot like inglis and battle his physical size in the years to come....

both his brothers are forwards so it pretty likely that he still has some growing.

Would be an Interesting donk with 3 turbosup front.....

I reckon it'd be a good 7 or 8 years.
He's gunna be a giant no doubt but I can imagine him tearing up a left side.
But for the next few years I'll be content to see him roaming from the back.
Plus I think he's got more to learn moving closer to the ball like a bit of 5/8 type involvement but he's capable of anything.

Tom is a special player and no matter how big he is or will be there is a reason Tom is playing fullback, it's because he's too good to play anywhere else and has too much skill. It would be the most stupid thing we could do if we moved the best young player in the game and the future Australian fullback out of his position so we could waste him in another spot.

Yep, Luke Lewis is certainly wasted out of position in the 2nd row ... can't understand why the fools don't play him in his rightful wing position.

Face facts Turbo ... the real Turbo is a big unit and with the flexibility his youth allows him is ideally suited to fullback ... but take it from someone over 18 years of age .. that flexibility diminishes rapidly in big bodies, and it doesn't have to diminish a great deal to make a difference.

Just entertain the possibility in your mind, that in 5/6 years that body and talent may be better served by a positional change.

If the forwards and centres keep getting bigger then he might be able to stay there. But I'd say five years Max.

Luke Lewis is a good player, a warrior. Tom is a special player, he is very similar to Inglis and will play fullback for the majority of his career, maybe move to centre as he hits his 30s. But Tom will never move to the forward pack that is hilarious.

Where are the calls for tom to play in the forwards coming from? Haha while we are at it let's move every big backline player to the forwards Inglis and Dugan future aus backrowers haha

Playing fullback has had major impact on Inglis' body and he should have moved back to the centre position earlier for longevity.

Tom wont last there forever either. It is a real tough gig with his size.

Yeah he could move to centres or halves but not backrow

Every time you speak Turbo you are displaying an increasing lack of knowledge and history. And nobody is calling for him to be moved .. it is rather a recognition that the move may be inevitable in years to come.

In Manly alone, some of our best ever back rowers started as backs ... Randall, Ronnie Gibbs, Noel and Les Cleal, Steve Knight, Ian Roberts, Menzies, throw in Gene Miles, Luke Lewis, and hundreds of others you will realise it is a common path for talented players when their physical attributes age or change.

If I was a betting man I would be putting money on when .. not if.

Long term fullback, yes. However, people with experience on here say he should not stay there for his last few years so i can agree with that, keep him as long as possible, no need to worry about it now though as fullback is his best position for a good 6-9 years to come

Tom has the fullback spot for as long as he stays fit and healthy .
People talk about young guns . Tommy is a cannon !!!

Whatever you reckon mate i understand that you are my superior but just so you understand Tom will never move from the backline. Tom is just like Inglis, he is big, fast and skillful with ball playing and the freakish plays, he will play fullback as long as he can then the shift to centre or 6 if needed.

Is prefer he passed on any excess size to jake

He is the best fullback with Tedesco today....will worry about other positions in 8 years time.
The best fullback Manly have till then.
I say that with Slater gone soon btw.
