The Daly Cherrygraph

This has to be the dumbest signing from the roosters in a long time. They must have signed him before the season started as why would you blow between 750 to 1 mill on this guy for two season when you have 3 capable halves at the club who are getting better every week when DCE is way past his best.

That would be amazing if true & would also explain why DCE went public apparently before Manly made a formal offer, & also why Manly apparently made a rushed offer on air to NRL360.

according to that snake Weidler & the NRL360 hosts (even though that was dispelled as BS soon after, as the club had apparently made their offer at lunchtime that same day).

It would also explain why Moses didn't even look at the Tigers offer to Galvin - but surely that couldn't be a binding thing, an amount a club offers a player automatically means any other club has to offer the same or higher to get that player?
Just in the ballpark, I think. They can take less but not considerably less. It also must be a percentage because Glenn Stewart’s contract was not that big a gap but we couldn’t get it over the line.

I’m starting to wonder if the Roosters might do a back flip.

The Dolphins have Katoa, he is their future.

Bulldogs have signed Galvin.

We’ve got Fogarty.

Would be interesting to see where he goes.

Sandon Smith is on his way out. I say get him in now to take cherry's spot. Next year can fight for the 6 with brooks. Also has good utility value. Can kick goals. I think he has a bright future

SHOOSH

With old Daly Cherry-Evans heading to the Roosters, we’re hearing Anzac Day medallist Sandon Smith will quit the Chooks at the end of the season. His likely destination is the North Queensland Cowboys. It comes after another outstanding performance from halfback Hugo Savala and five-eighth Smith against Cronulla on Saturday which had everyone in rugby league asking why the Roosters would bother signing Cherry-Evans, who turns 37 in February.

Now he is a champion player so who knows if he makes it back from here but he has been far from spectacular so far
If you Know he is a Champion . You will also know that Champion players Always rise to the occasion and they are never Far off from playing at their best .

Any thought on shifting DCE to 9 for the few games in middle of the season and blooding Walsh against weaker sides… I know he isn’t ready for the physicality of NRL but for a few weeks here and there? DCE can get beat up in middle (who cares) but with ball might be ok…
