Sione Mata'utia has been moved back to centre from second row,SKD is on wing.Looks like a physical centre pairing from the Knights....(Moga/Mata'utia)

Just chucking it up as an alternative, although highly unlikely to happen.

I think personally if I was coach I’d go Uate to centre and Parker to wing consigning MWright to Blacktown.

Parker can at least jump and catch, although not sure he could be compared to Aku for kick returns.
 
I like Matt Wright and think he's underrated as both a centre and a finisher (like Uate, he was great during the World Cup), but if he's struggling with an injuury - and he always seems to be struggling with an injury - we might be better off trying another option. Probably won't be Tom Wright at this stage, but I'd be stunned if he doesn't get an opportunity in the NRL this season. When and in what position remains to be seen.

Then again if you bring Uate into centre what's to stop you giving Tom Wright his spurs on the wing. He's played a lot of full back and is an effective ball returner. He's tall and catches the ball with ease. Good defence. Add to that his evasiveness and speed could make him a serious asset outside of Kelly and Uate. I'm still hoping Parker is seen as the ideal utility on the bench for forwards and backs.
 
Uate seems to work best when you give him very simple tasks and tell him to run hard.... for years at Newcastle he had a hell of a time working out when to stay out on his wing and when to jam in.

I know he filled in at centre during World Cup at lower levels...but the thought of him doing it week in week out and having to make decisions over 80 mins of when to jam in and when to slide etc I think would fill our coaching staff and many fans with sheer terror.

For me M Wright is nothing more then a depth player.. If we are starting him ahead of T Wright and Parker then I'm not a good judge of a player..

Getting back on track surely this will be the year Tom Wright breaks into FG.

I know he’s been on a steep learning curve but he certainly has plenty of X Factor.

Throw him in and see how he goes I say!!

Agree he is only good for a game here and there a stop gap at best
 
I would have liked to see T wright get the start at centre. He is definitely the closet thing to a like for like replacement for Walker. M Wright is being sold as the "safe" reliable option although was schooled by Latrell Mitchell on the weekend. He is neither fast, nor strong. T Wright did his job in the first trial against Cronulla although received no ball, his main contribution was the one on one strip on Moylan, its the instinctive plays he produces similar to the semi in NYC against Cronulla last year where he did it twice for 2 tries. In the NSW cup game on the weekend with plenty of ball he carved up with 3 linebreaks. The sooner he gets a go the better he is a pure footballer. T Wright would be my first choice for Walker if not it has to be Parker then, not the x-factor but surely safer than M Wright.
 
I think I’m getting it. Tom, young good prospect. Matt, wtf can’t do anything head explosion. Jono, nope still no clue
