Burgess will only go back to the Vermin, because Bath will want their million back, and that's short change for the owners AND the NRL will simply forgo the cap to allow it to happen, it will be called " Special Dispensation".

Carney I imagine will stay in the ESL, as they don't have anywhere near the same regulations and media coverage as the NRL, so he can be as big a grub as he wants over the and get away with it.

Yes, sadly - "once an imbecile, always an imbecile" I think. He's had too many second chances. IF Burgess wants to come back, we'd have to be a strong option with Luke B and Joe Kelly here now. But still a long shot, and hugely expensive. Is Tamou as bad these days as everyone is saying? He's still young enough to forge a "Manly" career with us - time enough to turn it around.

Carney played well at origin level and would be cheaper than maloney. I wouldn't pay overs for Sam burgess. Tamou would do a good job at manly.

Elgey and Hodkinson for halves - probably around $700K for the package. Tamou $400K...George B - $3 or $400K. Still tons of cash to buy an outstanding backrower to compliment our 'workhorses' (Buhrer not included in that statement). Someone like Gillett or Guerra would do - big, fast, aggressive with some skills.

Would have to be heavily incentive based. And I also wouldn't want Manly paying a cent to have him released for his deal.

George B for $400k? Even the NRL would have difficulty justifying that one...

Completely agree his form is down BUT he was a very good player and can be again, plus we'd get him at a good price.
Don't forget when we got Perry from the knights his form was complete ****house and we turned him around...
