I must say I think Todd Carney would be a backward step, back 3 or 4 years back I thought he was sensational. He tore it up at the Roosters and played SOO (and played very well). But I don't see him as a great signing, however having said that, he's better than nothing at all.

I don't mind players getting second chances, but with Todd we must be up to 9 or 10. The bubbler incident in my eyes was something you would say 'Todd that's a bit juvenile can you grow up'. But when added to his long list you'd just have to say he does not get it.

He'll probably go to the NRL Titans, won't he? No doubt the NRL would see the pairing with Evans as the dynamic duo needed to reinvigorate RL on the Gold Coast.

Exactly this. Even if he wasn't a dickhead of the highest order, his defence is terrible and he's always injured. Not good value for money at any price.

Pretty sure we used to have some sort of no dickheads policy (with exemptions for local juniors like Choc). This sort of policy is always a good idea for team morale, but particularly when rebuilding.

As the sharks found out the hard way, someone like Carney is not worth it when you are already up against it attracting good sponsors.
