I dont have a ute so couldnt answer, i assumed you would probably get at least 1 pallet and say another 6 slabs around the edges. The important variable is whether they are packaged on a crate, or whether they are secured properly.

For safety I would go with a properly packed pallet which should be secure and allow enough room for the cattle dog

you dont buy pallets from Bottle shops, we stack cartons as high as they will go, and dont forget theres room for a few in the cabin as well,

Cattle dogs have got good balance, they go on top of the cartons.

A good cattle dog would offer to walk home if it meant you could get one more slab in

true. You can buy pallets from the bottle shop! You just have to ask.

You can go higher with 2 pallets than you cna by loose stacking. Or at least stack em high and chuck some shrink wrap around them....better than stack em high watch em fly!

Didnt say you couldnt buy em, just that real men dont.

only poofs wrap em Dan, and poofs dont have cattle dogs.

I suppose you use rope and tie em down too?

My missus's Uncle got a pallet of beer for him and a mate to share over their 4 week Christmas holiday's a few years ago. From memory I think it was 50 carton's to the pallet so It was not a bad effort as there was not much left at the end of the month.

Its all a moot point since I drive a lancer and not a ute!

TO be honest, i would buy a pallet, I wouldnt want to risk wasting a drop. Spilling any is sacralige and unaustralian, unless you are pouring it over someones head!

I used to drive a lancer, then I grew up :)

actually it was a great car, loved it.

and I agree with you on the spillage issue. I was at the ING game at Drummoyne and one of my mates knocked my beer over accidently. So I instructed him to go and buy me TWO to replace it :)
