so just so I understand.

You want to replace a centre ( Parker ) that has been part of the most lethal left edge in the league this year? A left edge that scores tries for fun. A left edge that has a pretty good defensive structure and you want to break that up yes?

You want to drop in a rocks and diamond player who has no defensive ability into a backline that currently has 3 players in the top 5 tries list?

was listening to the Bloke in a bar podcast after the Parra game and they probably made the best point on both Harper and Parker made this year. There is a reason Saab and Garrick have so many tries and that's because both Harper and Parker do their job in making space for 2 very fast and damaging wingers. they aren't Katoni staggs or joey manu but again they don't pretend to be. they do their job and that job is to defend well and release 'grease' and 'lightning' down their respective wings.

Its a given that a player like Suli has more natural ability than Parker and is a much more destructive running centre. But that means he will run a lot more and pass a lot less. Our game is all about the sweeping backlines plays to the wing that other teams just cant cope with so why **** that up.

I can never break up the perception in your mind feathered friend

One thing for sure . If the Monster keeps up his devastating Scary Monster Mash show he will be breaking in his centre position .

Have a good night feathered friend

Moses the Monster doing what he does best
If I remember correctly what he did best 2019 season was EAT, and I quote "I just get carried away, especially in the off-season. I go for gold. Whatever I find I'll eat." That season was his alltime record, he put on 17kg over summer.

Dear Featherless Friend 🙂

but everything I wrote was fact????

The only fact I didn't mention was that Moses has had 3 years to 'release the beast' and has failed to live up to the hype.

I still maintain I would rather have Parker out there giving his all game after game, than have Suli only playing like this when the pressure is on him.

Lets be honest here ... Suli's biggest asset is that when the mood takes him, he's very T-Rex like with the ball in hand. Two things though unfortunately. First, those runs are few and far between. The way he was last Friday, we literally haven't seen an 80 minute performance like that since the 2019 Semi's. 2 bloody years between good full games is simply not good enough. And second, the ball goes to Suli to die. Reubs caught more colds than balls passed to him in 2020 with Suli and Siro inside of him. And the only time Funa touched the ball last Friday was either on a kick return or when Foz cut out Suli and passed it directly to him.

And then there is that Suli is a turnstile in defense. Canberra scored twice down his side last week. I maintain that there is no point being able to score 2-3 tries a game if you are going to be letting in 4-5 because you are a poor reader in defense (he can tackle, he just reads defense at a pre-school level). Parker may not score a lot of tries or do a lot of blockbusting runs ... but his defense will stop more tries than Suli's. And he knows how to pass the ball to his faster winger and put him into space.

Sorry, but right now I would still much rather our #3 and #4 be Brad Parker and Morgan Harper.

You could teach the NRL a thing or two about consistency my friend.

Here are your facts @Eagle of London

NRL FOX

Moses Suli returned to the starting side for the first time since Round 13 and didn’t miss a beat.

The destructive centre was Manly’s best — alongside sensational second-rower Haumole Olaka’atu.

Suli ran for 217 metres, had nine tacklebusts, one linebreak, one line break assist and one offload in an a truly sensational performance.

Fox League commentator Dan Ginnane said Suli was “torturing these Raiders,” while Greg Alexander said he was “outstanding.”

Cooper Cronk was equally impressed, saying: “He had spiders on him at different stages.”

Suli’s efforts came just days after it was revealed he was closing in on a deal with the Dragons from next season.

The 23-year-old is contracted to the Sea Eagles until the end of 2022 but it’s understood he was told by the club that he’s free to look elsewhere.

“I can’t believe Manly are letting him go,” Roach said while watching the towering centre carve up the Raiders.

Suli has struggled to nail down a spot in Des Hasler’s 17. He started the year in the centres but while he was sidelined with a back injury, Morgan Harper filled in and has held that spot ever since.

He only got his chance this week because Brad Parker sat out after suffering a concussion last week.

Hasler was very impressed with Suli’s game, saying “he had a whale of a game.”

No need to be sorry feathered friend as this is your view

My view is what is best for our team and on current form the Monster at his most devastating and destructive best gives Manly the best chance for the title

Our left edge never looked so INTIMIDATING with Moses the Monster doing what he does
Really? How many tries did that "intimidating left edge" score? How many tries did that same ""intimidating left edge" concede? When was the last time our left side didn't score a single try and when was the last time our left side was outscored by 2 tries?

Yeah, it looked intimidating...but in REALITY it was the weakest it has been since I can't remember when.
Sorry, I forgot...you are not real big on reality.

Perspective time, how is his brother Milton the Monster shaping up, feathered friend?

I'm glad Moses is likely to find a permanent first grade spot at the Dragons. I hope he has a redhot go everytime he plays the Storm and the Eels. However, that would mean three or four good games a year which seems pretty unlikely. Still, good for him and I hope the Dragons pay him a LOT of money.

do you remember the last time 'the monster' played like the other night? yep 2019 for perhaps 1 or 2 matches.

Guy has a huge upside but unfortunately a much bigger backside ( oops sorry I mean downside) that up until this very point has been the defining factor of his career.

If you could tell me he will play 4 out of 5 games like the other night then perhaps but he never has and probably never will.

Get what you are saying, but I wonder how many try assists come off say Parker to Garrick, versus either Foz, Schuster or Turbo to Garrick?

no tries would be the answer to the first question.

2 dirty bastards would cover the second question

and somewhere about round 4 would more than answer the third part.

bet hey don't let facts spoil a good story.
