Some talented players do struggle to fit into a rep team and can quickly and unfairly wind up on the representative scrapheap.

Not saying this will happen to him, but the nature of the PM’s XIII game sees a grab bag of players thrown together, mostly for the first time.* Somewhat different from the SOO and Australian sides, where you tend to have more continuity from one year to the next.

*That was obvious in the opening 20 minutes yesterday.

Pretty sure that Rueben was selected in a P M 's invitational side a few seasons ago but as a winger
Don 't think that anything has really changed much in recent times in regard to next season 's centre makeup and the likelihood of Rueben continuing there .
Still seems the most likely scenario , Rueben staying in the centres with either Lehi or Talau joining Saab as wingers , Rueben reverting to wing with Talau as a centre and Lehi to the bench or Lehi wing , Garrick centre and Talau bench or gravitating to the ruck area .
Doubt if even the Manly coaching staff at this stage have come to a or more inclined or definite view of the outside backs overall makeup for season 24 . .
