Yes. Read also said DCE will be a totally different player - as in good next year away from Manly.
It was both Buzz and Brent Read and they said they had been on the phone to Manly "power brokers" all day and have it 100% confirmed that Seibold is safe for 2026..... I don't know how true their information is but they were both VERY strong on him being safe.

That shouldn't bother you being a Seibold neutralist. Besides he will be good for your lube business. I can foresee plenty of pre and post game lubrication flying of your shelves. You might want to withhold sending any to the fans who have been such strong Seibold advocates these past three seasons. They deserve whatever pain is coming their way.

Not stating it’s true or not,but anything Brent Read says regarding Moses clients,keep in mind Read is one of Isaac’s mouthpieces.He’ll stick up for O’Brien and if anyone in Sydney cared about the Cows,he’d be sticking up for Payten as well.And to be fair,what are the “power brokers” meant to say?

What a bunch of crapola. So according to your youthful wisdom if Tom and Jake both play and take 2 million out of the cap our season is over? Let's say they are worth a combined 1.2 million on current form. That means we are paying $800 000 too much. If we go by your assessment any side who loses a player for the season valued at around that amount is finished for the year.
Not to mention a new coach might reduce Jakes minutes and play him at prop. Turbo is still a very good player and writing him off now is both premature and naive.
Lube is just a passion and a side hustle for me.

I don't think Seibold is a great coach .... at his very best might just be OK (at best)I I do think he has made lots of mistakes. But, my view on Seibold is that he's only part of the problem and sacking him will give us fans a sugar hit and might make us feel good short term but we'll end back in the same 2 to 3 year sack the coach cycle again. All Penn will get is another cheapie coach and in two years with whatever Silvertails name you are using then you'll start a thread with "sack Spoon XXXXXXX".
IN saying all of that, I am starting to lean towards the sack Seibold camp BUT that is only because I am frustrated and angry with the shxt that is being dished up each week and I just want some hope for the future which at the moment I don't see much. Do I really think sacking Seibold will fix us? I doubt it. I think our issues run deeper than just sacking an average / shxt coach. I wish fixing Manly was that easy.
So in other words the goose has been kicking stones all year and his performances are due to DCE having a dummy spit. That statement from Reid had me fuming if true.
That is what Read said tonight.
If Read is a Moses mouth piece, all he is doing is putting good vibes out so the deal with the Roosters still happens.

I posted several weeks ago that Seibold would coach in 2026, with Ennis made a full time assistant coach before taking over in 2027. Seibold to football manager or some such head office role created by himself. Looks more likely by the day. If we lose our first 10 games, Ennis to take over immediately. I can see us being burdened with Seibolds presence well into the future. What has Seibold done to deserve such preferential treatment? Nothing that I can see. The guy is an absolute myth who keeps getting gifted opportunities and second chances for no apparent reason.
So much for a results driven business. Sure, there are excuses, but the pride jersey fiasco wasn’t a legitimate excuse when sacking Des, so why the hypocrisy now?
