Maybe it's as simple as Mestrov thinking Cherry-Evans was on the slide and didn't represent good value for money moving forward, and that was enough to get his nose out of joint.

Even with all the rainbow jerseys, erratic contract negotiations, and player unrest in the world, a strong CEO and Head Coach should always keep the ship from sinking!
