The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

Genuinely , I hope the people close to him have enough intestinal fortitude to advise him he needs to work on his fundamentals. His talent and gifts may have held him in good stead in juniors but not against men. Its the big show now and he is coming up short , i really hope he understands god gave him two ears and one mouth for a reason. He wont be the first or last Kenny could of been , its up to him…….

I’d actually like to see Schuster go to lock and tonight was a perfect time to give him a crack. Would love to see Foz stay next year, move Jake to prop and play Schuster as a ball playing lock. Failing that try and find a 6 with a few years experience on the cheap (ie Foz 2 years ago) as a stop gap until we see how young Fainu develops. I don’t see Shu as a 6 anymore but think he fits the modern 13 role perfectly.

Well with Foz moving on next year Des needs to make a decision quickly regarding his future. If it's not at 6 (and at the moment he doesn't look like one) then who will play there?

Doesn't have the work rate to play at lock. Too slow and needs match fitness.

Another season of promises turns into another season of mediocrity. Same old rubbish been happening since the great backflip debacle. Shuster is another in the line of young talents being totally misguided and poorly trained and utilised. We are becoming a joke of a club known for killing off natural talented youngsters.

The whole team played below par except for a few standouts. Apart from a couple of errors (losing the ball in a tackle & dropping the ball while playing it), I thought Josh went okay with some nice touches in attack and some strong runs. He missed 2-3 tackles but also made a couple of try savers. IMO, he just needs more game time to return to his best form.

We really did miss our usual solid defence up front & with hindsight, it would have been better to play a specialist hooker. Gordie could have had a more positive effect on the outcome than Weekes' limited minutes at the end of the match. Playing him would have been less disruptive to our typical mode of play.
