The Manly Way

I've been through 2 pages of threads, and I can't find the Rest In Peace thread. So I'm posting here.

Legendary guitarist for bands Thin Lizzy, Tygers of Pan Tang, Blue Murder and Whitesnake, John Sykes passes away aged 65.
Thanks for posting feathered friend
He was a Legendary Guitarist Indeed
He was only 65
But when its your time to go
Its all over red rover

I preferred last year's episodes but I'm still enjoying this year's. What really excites me is the prospect that improvement over last year is possible this year, not so much from recruitment but from the whole squad getting better.

If you watch any social you will see every club (well almost everyone) doing something similar

I caught a bit of a dogs one where they showed the players after we beat them then took them back to the stadium where they had to climb every step? Honestly the production values for that were a fair bit worse than the Manly way

Interesting were DCE's comments about the group of young players Haumole arrived as part of at the club & how they were all full of energy & fun but lacked the ability to switch on & get serious when required...that group was the Fainus, Suli, Schuster etc.

All gone now, apart from Haumole & Saab.

I think it's been a great initiative for fans.

Some episodes are going to be better than others, however, at least there are episodes, and each episode amounts to a week of communication from the club and keeping us all informed, as much as they can or are prepared to.

We can all criticise The Manly Way for production values and content, however, I've produced serious ad campaigns for really serious money, and given the budget I expect they are on, it's pretty damn good.

We have to remember that before the Manly Way videos, many complained about the lack of communication from the club! One of these videos is great for a whole week, if not more, and it engages fans. Given the views on Youtube, I think people like it.

Given all the access to media and information, so many many are now insomniacs for information, and unless an organisation is a 'huge' organisation, it's difficult to both manage the brand and also post worthwhile information.

Personally, I think what they are doing is great and are trying to engage fans.

Technically just Haumole now, Saab was at the Dragons until 2021, and by that time Fainu was already locked up, and Suli was on the way out.

Great that our Western Sydney vision yielded a grand total of one player! And that player was a Parramatta junior who wasn't even playing Rugby League lol...
